spacetimeCounselor, that looks freaky interesting. Pardon me if it comes out badly, but I'm still amazed that people want to write and expand on a fic I wrote. I don't want to sound humble or anything. I just never expected to attract that kind of interest. Just like apianAnchorite, I'm gonna look forward for it.
As to the other question about the Song of your Land: welp, it's a continuity mistake. That's what I get for not re-reading my fic until after I'm 50+ chapters into it. I reckon that I should fix the Player Command chapter in favor of the Terraforming chapter. That is, confirming that you learn the music during your adventures on your Land and not instantly when you pick up the Land Instrument. It makes for a more interesting story, I think.
Oh and thanks for pointing out the Rhyme/Flow mistake!
Lastly, concerning the Dealing with Death part 3 chapter and where it came from: I'm not sure so I can't answer. I never experienced total loss or anything, just regular good stuff and bad stuff.

Hey ggtg, quick question. Exactly what kind of personality traits would players of Void and Mist have? Especially Void, I have a tough time reading it (which means the aspect is working, I guess?) Blood/Breath is solidarity/wildness, Light/Law is permission/denial, Void/Mist is... huh.

i dunno if every aspect's gotta get auto-personality traits like as sand, life, or the like do, but i mean you could infer that voidy types might tend toward reclusion? idk about mist, i think their thing is multiplicity/unpredictability in general which could extend to personality Anyway so hey, GG, I pretty much finished that maturity quest FAQ. I was wondering if like, since you're having the Sarabande and stuff in the Terraforming chapter, you could have it as a guest chapter for the Glitch FAQ such like LC's Mind section. If such were to happen, I'd want to go over the opening and add a conclusion bit, finish cleaning it up. Would that fly with you?

Void teaches you that isolation isn't necessarily a bad thing. Mist teaches you that other people are pretty cool, actually. At least, that's my take on it anyway.

I tossed Mist and Rain at "the twins" as a subtle stab of cruelty on sburb's part, since those are the two aspects that'd lead to the most identity issues (or would if the rain guy were cognizant enough) and they'd probably have developed issues with being treated as a pair already. But they aren't in the spotlight so it doesn't really play out anywhere.

One thing I want to ask: Are Title abilities still a thing? The knight ability [JUDGMENT TECH: Kiss Of The Axe Bride] is mentioned in passing in CH 17, but I haven't heard anything more on the subject.

One thing I want to ask: Are Title abilities still a thing? I can still use them, it just happened that I shoved them aside. I wanted to make the game as huge and complicated as possible because that was my first idea with the fic, a ridiculous overload of features that all seem important. I started with the premise that sburb players would have equal parts of aspect abilities and title abilities. However, I went on to talk a lot about aspects and I placed a lot of emphasis on them and now going back to title abilities seem like it wouldn't clip well together. I still want to use title abilities in some way. I'm thinking of adapting to the flow of the fic by making them less important than I planned. To make them more like passive abilities that gives a natural bonus for X action. For example, a Mage would have the ability [MUDDLE TECH: Riddler's Gammon] which would be a non-combat bonus for speaking/understanding riddles. Or a Guard would have the ability [WALL TECH: I Eat Punches For Breakfast] which would be a defense bonus for eating an attack aimed at someone else. Or a Knight would get [JUDGMENT TECH: Kiss Of The Axe Bride] which would be a passive bonus for attempting to execute an enemy. They would be like a temporary and situational stat boost that doesn't have any magical graphics by itselves. I guess the logical thing that follows is that players would have to learn to combine their magical and non-magical advantages. A player with the Knight of Space title would optimize their actions by first casting [JUDGMENT TECH: Kiss Of The Axe Bride] to get a bonus for "executing", followed by casting a Space ability called [Always Behind You] to teleport to an enemy and decapitate it. The dual tech would have the best of both worlds. To be honest I just like title abilities because of their silly names. I wrote down a bunch before I decided to start using homestuck songs to name things, and the song names turn out to be a much better idea. Although I admit that I force them too much at some points just to make them fit. Maybe title abilities are just too silly/outdated and I should forget about them. They clash a little with the emphasis on aspects and the roleplay system. I don't know, what do you guys think?

I personally like the idea of title abilities as passive bonuses or modifiers. They make the RP system seem a little more concrete or grounded in game mechanics, although maybe that's something you're trying to avoid.

would like a zen aspect work? Sure. Probably better than the weird stuff I came up with.

would like a zen aspect work? Depending on the sort of Zen you're thinking of, wouldn't one of Rhyme, Fate or Rain already cover that?

I'm not thinking like gamzee, or already made zen, I'm thinking, a switch to the subconscious, that lets a different you take over, and uses drunken monkey style fighting tactics.

Wow okay that's not even a little bit what zen means, but yeah that's basically Rain there- or really anyone who's channeling their aspect a whole lot. where exactly did that come from anyway, like...?
Also GG, I can't remember, did you have symbols in mind for the non-HS aspects? I think you said something about that once but I can't remember what it was.

I asked this in the Questions board, but I was pointed here for your opinion. I think it was lC who wrote some essays about the AU including describing the whisperings. Right now I can't link. On my phone. I will pink them later.EDIT: Link here: sburbstaff.tumblr.com/My question is: do you consider those canon? Or did you want it vaguer?

cutthroatcanadianIt would work fine. Though personally I'm a big fan of aspects with a name and meaning that are non-intuitive and weirder to explain. spacetimeCounselorYep it's on the first page of this thread. i.imgur.com/PQ5nt.jpg?1That was several months ago. I got bored and doodled stuff for a few minutes. It is completely silly. reptileAdvocateI don't know how to deal with that kind of question. I don't want to be the guy that judges what other people write and then say things like "oops sorry you're not good enough to be in the COOL club". That's just not me, like wow I don't want to police this entire forum like some kind of headcanon nazi supreme. Whenever someone write stuff based on my fic, I just flail my arms in the air and say "wow that's neat". Then I go back to planning the next thing I'll write, independently of what other people wrote. I'm never going to say that someone's take on the AU is canon or not canon. That's one heck of a dark road. I just wanna write weird stuff. All this just to say: you're free to accept or ignore Lucid's headcanons depending on how you like them. I don't think I'm gonna write more about whisperings. I like things that are vague.
