Because anybody sane enough to just use the default Array function wouldn't have picked up SBURB in the FIRST place.
Actually, I don't think my Fetch Modus problem is standard. It can't be, because it isn't even a real Skaianet product. I have this bootleg "Skycom Sylldeck 5-in-1" that my Grandma found in a garage sale. It's SOMEHOW compatible with the Alchemiter, captcha codes and all, but the supposed 5 Fetch Modus settings are fucked up.
*ARRAIGN: Badly translated Array function. Sometimes I have to prompt it repeatedly to get it to work, but it's the safest one.
*STREET KING: It's a cheap LCD game of two boxers fighting. Winning makes the item come out gently, LOSING makes it shoot out of the card violently. Except when it just comes out normally anyways.
*CHANTICLEER HEDEMONY: Okay, this is just STREET KING but with chickens instead of boxers. I have it set to this most of the time.
*DRUG BAG FUCK: Yeah I'm never going to try this one.
*MIRACLE QUIZ: I think it's a children's edutainment game, but the multiple choice answers are all in, uh, not English. A wrong answer seriously MULCHES the item in the card and spits the debris at your shoes.
So my question for the veterans is, do I hunt for a real Fetch Modus or should I just deal with it? Does anybody else here have experience in wrangling absurdly dangerous inventory systems?

Hello again, this is BlackSnout, the guide of flow. From the sounds of it your Fetch Modus completely sucks to no end and you are annoyed by most of the common, prevailing features of it.
I would say i'm surprised but, that would require me to feel surprised. and blacksnout the former legislacerator/current Guide of flow, does not feel surprised about anything. Except for Cinnamons shenanigans. she will never cease to surprise me.
Back onto the topic at hand, I would recommend a replacement sylladex, even a simple fetch modus until you find/create a new sylladex. Or you could try checking the codes in the back and 'troubleshooting' your fetch modus.
I've heard that sometimes a bad program is because of faulty coding. Don't ask me where I got that I just know.

Yeah, those are all a bunch of bullshit modii. I use Orbit and Recipe, neither of which are hard to use. I recommend Arraign until you can get something less fucked-up. In addition to the ones I stated, I recommend Wallet, Rollodex, Puzzle, and Deck. All of which are easy to use and have a bunch of pull.

Recipe is actually pretty useful - it lets you tell what you'd need to make a specific item, so if you're trying to figure it out for a time-loop, you can just stick it in your modus and take a look at the suggested combinations in there.
Anagram works, too, if you're a Cryptic class - you get a minor ARC boost for making yourself have to solve riddles just to get your own items.
What does the text for Miracle Quiz look like?

Haha, I just use Array. I've got a Filo for weaponization but I never really use it. Nobody in our session brought any guardians in, so I couldn't get Wallet off my dead dad or whatever (totally alive and kickin' on earth because i went into this game with some goddamn forethought). I experimented with alchemizing moduses, though, and that... didn't really work out. Whenever I try to use "Array In Last Out" my entire inventory disappears.
I know Supes uses the Hands&Pockets modus, though, which, aside from a cool weaponization quirk with Hope, is just like... really dumb. Like, it's a modus where your inventory slots are just... your own hands, or physical storage you have on you. And to hold things in inventory, you have to like... physically grip them with your appendages or fit them in a backpack or whatever. It's like, I guess you could technically do that anyway? But who the hell does that?

Snaplock and her crew do. They managed to get in without moduses or specibi. Which is going to be some kind of fun when they hit their next session; someone's going to have to kit them out fully.

As a Seer, the day I switched to that Memory card game Modus was the day I ceased ever having to worry about my inventory again. It's pretty much like cheating, and any kind of puzzle game gives a negligible but cumulative upward nudge to ARC (at least for the first few weeks). Eventually I did alchemize it with a couple other puzzle-type modii just to keep it from getting boring.

I stopped playing with Modi and settled on Array after twenty sessions of bullshit. i don't really weaponize my sylladex outside of the times i am Hope, and then Array actually is really good ([Eject] on whole Sylladex, filled with nukes, thats all)
other good Modi are Catalogue, which has insane storage capability and preservers items perfectly, and Pyramid, if you settle it at [INVERTED] and assign [Z-value] to most important items, like healing ones or pluck restoratives.
I don't like Recipe for sentimetal reasons, its actually good Modus, I just hate a person it reminds me of.

Pictionary modus is great if you need to train up your life drawing skills and don't mind frustrating bullshit. I basically wouldn't be using it at all except that apparently succeeding as a Dream player is all about keeping the creative juices flowing.

What ever you do, don't create a rain happy modus. I tried to change my modus to get better in tune with my class, and you can just not use a rain enhanced modus. Unless your the kind of guy who likes to have his things randomly switch with things you didn't even know you had, avoid rain modus stuff. trust me, the hilarity of it runs out fast.

What does the text for Miracle Quiz look like? I assumed it was Mandarin Chinese at first, but it doesn't look like any Earth language. And I checked out the trolls' kinda-flipways-demon-font* and it's not that EITHER. Also can't brute force it, there are like a hundred different questions. Time to learn a dead language.
I guess my best chance is asking the Smith of Light to build a REASONABLE Modus, though I haven't seen him make anything that isn't also a gun of some sort. The Page offered to swap with me too, though his huge-ass Zip Modus tends to take a while to defragment.
*Did I mention that I met aliens on the internet today? Another thing the stupid asshole Space player was right about, and not because he was badly misinterpreting his dreams this time.

Drug Bag Fuck? Pictionary? Try again, Amane says to me, you get *(&^)%(*W^#%)#^$)@#^$)@*(^$)(#*$ Modus.
I am 16 and what is this.

I keep telling folks, Miracle is actually pretty easy to use if you just read the manual it comes with. I mean, the only remotely tricky part is learning to think in... You know, now that I'm actually trying to write this out, it occurs to that being a native Rain might be the only reason this makes sense to me.
Sketch is still a good modus though. Everyone should have a Sketch or Pictionary modus as a spare for when they need to alchemise shit.

I've recently acquired a Ship-In-A-Bottle Modus, which releases items automatically when it's the "right time". Normally this is hideously inconvenient, but as a Fate aspect I find it works really well.
