The dev team is still holed up with Iji (ciretakoUltimatium) in the End of the World. Chen X'alujan has been glitched back to the Green Sun due to being shot with the Null Driver.
Grontimügarr is still inside the inner core of the Submachine, where it was banished to thirteen years ago. The only other known entity alive in there is a man named Murtaugh, who can create karma portals (which, although keeping him one step ahead of the Feeder of Pain, is also making several layers look very much like the Outer Ring of Homestuck.)
Natz, Lance, Matt, Wrenchi, Kat and a Mecha-Legs are on Arcatnia. Herobrine and the Godmodder (godModerator) are still on Minecraftia.
Jenny Everwhere (jennyEverywhere) is still walking the planes after being ditched by Iji.
Chuxtoepose and Sephrian are still arguing with the Fossil Gods, in the middle of Paradox Space.

"Isn't Murtaugh dead?" Lillian questioned. "Ugh, maybe the Submachine deigned to keep him alive somehow this time around the kaian cycles..."
Then she looked out the window, and said various offensive things.
"Gah, the party's scattered," she finished, "and more importantly, this is not the Strata. We fell into a star crack, and from the smell of spacetime we're in an instance of the Eridanus-Supervoid. Ping those two ships and see if we're in a consistent mainline universe or can exit bubblestates to one. If we're lucky we can get everybody back in one place and save a whole lot of introductions."
avertedCrisis kicks the Shenanigans Engine back to work. Analysis begins.

Managing to extrapolate the Moon Lord from the Towers, you must have played the Submachine series... I'll provide an explanation for Murtaugh tomorrow.

Disk 1 Book 4: Submachine It was thirteen years ago when I placed the last Wisdom Gem in the heart of the Submachine. Only seventeen years ago, I was brought back to life by Shiva, placed in an unaging body, one that would not die by time alone. It took me two years to wander back into the core. My gambit to shut down the defenses had worked! All the knowledge that I desired was at my fingertips! I was even able to fully restore the Third Layer over the course of two years! I learned that the Submachine was designed by the ancient Forerunner race. It was intended to be a sentient prison, capable of holding elder gods of eldritch powers in ancient pantheons. However, the prison's sentience was their downfall: systematically, the Submachine killed off all the Forerunners across time and space. The last of them installed three of the Wisdom Gems with his final breaths, holding the artifact in place. (He glances at the time, making a note of it.) What is just now fourteen years ago, some kid named Riku came up to me. He asked me if I wanted to save the universe, and I replied in the affirmative. Merely a week later, Riku's daring plan to entrap Grontimügarr, the Feeder of Pain in the Submachine came to fruitition. By placing the last Wisdom Gem, I had frozen the light of the Eighth Layer: the Layer of Light and Time. In doing so, I had stopped time on every layer of the Submachine: a power switch was pressed, if you will. However, recently, the light was disrupted - awakened from eternal slumber - when a shrine maiden banished an amanojaku (a turnways-flipping, screen-inverting little girl) into the Submachine. Ever since then, I've been on the run from the Forerunner God of Pain. My name is Murtaugh, and I am the last descendant of the Mongolians. This is my story.

Look around you -=>
You are in a small room in the FIRST LAYER of the SUBMACHINE, an ANCIENT PRISON and RELIC of a FORGOTTEN RACE. You are surrounded by LOTS AND LOTS OF COMPUTERS, which seems to make up about 83 PERCENT of the FIRST LAYER. You are about FORTY-TWO KARMA JUMPS AWAY from the CORE OF THE SUBMACHINE (KARMA JUMPS being a UNIT OF MEASUREMENT you MADE YOURSELF to represent the DISTANCE that a SINGLE KARMA PORTAL CAN SAFELY TAKE YOU without CAUSING LAYER DAMAGE.) The FEEDER OF PAIN is FIFTY-SEVEN KARMA JUMPS away from you, forming a FIFTY-SIX DEGREE ANGLE OFF THE PARALLEL. This means that it is FOURTY-EIGHT POINT THREE TWO EIGHT KARMA JUMPS away from the CORE. You know that the FEEDER OF PAIN has a TWO-KARMA JUMP PAIN AURA. However, it can only move HALF AS FAST as you.

Watch the computers -=>
You do that. Some weird scenes unfold.
You see a human male snogging a female kappa. You see an ambiguously human female nearly get run over by a patrol of ambiguously human people, only to see the patrol blasted to oblivion. You see an Orzic Nedben try to contact a large group of humanoid creatures, with only the three in purple responding (although the little girl isn't all that happy to see it. You see the Green Sun. You see two HEAVENBRANDED horrors in heated debate.

[ S ] Lillian: Tunnel. ==>
Spell circles floating haphazardly into being, the might of a goddess penetrates the abstract. Stars burst from her forehead, glitches begin to form into unholy patterns, and for all the world it looked like something devastating was going to happen.
After minutes of this, the drums rise back from the back, and the tunneling into spacetime itself begins, bits of gummi from the world edges beginning to flake off. Pichuun.
Phantasmal drills at alien angles, the sheer directed fury of someone trying to return home, all physics and resistance in the way damned. Magic the world was never meant to know soared like it was everyday dust, the house-vessel thing caught up in a whirlpool as the same old crack-rainbows, just like those someone else had formed long ago, began to rise.
With an abstract cut and the sound of glubbing, a house and all within fell out of the world, the rainbows fading away behind them in nedbens and the knitting of spacetime by a god with a fan cord.
A submachine hunt had begun.

Hi. In case anyone was wondering where "KimikoMuffin" comes from, it's me. I also first learned about the fact that I'm a character in this story when he came and asked me out of the blue on a different website what my strife specibus was. He made a reference to using one of my OCs, which is cool, but he's also using me, which is not cool. For some reason, the distinction is lost on him, and his most recent message indicates that he thinks that my problem with this is somehow a lack of "creativity" on my part. My problem is that he has inserted me into his story without my knowledge or permission. Stop doing this.

(family member stepping in) Nefer is very upset and will apologize later, as he is genuinely off in his room crying still. I'll discuss the finer points of adding an existing person with out their permission, it's not a legal issue he's ever had to understand till now. It may take a while since he thinks it's something else and that's an autists viewpoint that I'll have to rewrite.
He's not implying that your issue with being in his work is one of your creativity. Rather he loved what you had been doing and wishes that you would return to it. He idolizes you to some degree and was awkwardly attempting to "push" you back to into creating what he considers one of the best things he follows. He'll post an apology for that as well.
To everyone else, Nefer has been planning the story for some time. He finally had the tools to work on this and it's been something of a top secret project of his this summer. This problem with a character that will have to be eliminated is really a huge wrench in the cogs. I don't know if things can be rewritten and salvaged or if Nefer will simply have to take this down and proceed to other endeavors. Either way, thanks to everyone who's given him input, both positive and negative, and helped him evolve his first big effort
