spenih noticed that there isn't a thread for this
and it's a very important thing
[co ruption] can seriously harm a [sessio ]
and
really
it needs to be talked about
the glitch faq has several good points that it makes
spenih would recommend that you give it a read
if you even wonder that you might
might
have a problem
[ orruption] is tricky
spenih will eventually write a proper article on it
until she does this will have to serve
for those who wonder what [corrupti n] looks like
she would like to quote the glitch faq
it does a good job of describing both kinds
source here
as stated above
this is best solved through hugs
actually it's not unlike treating aggrievance in minor cases
major cases are harder to handle
and often require [he rt] or [might pl yers]
just be careful
many [corrupted players] will attack friends
much less strangers
but prevention is always the best bet
don't spend too much time in the [underw rld]
don't be outside on [ erse] when there's an [eclips ]
don't listen to [th others]
don't anything with grimoires or has astonishingly high [stats]
watch each other and talk often with your [c players]
other than that
spenih is happy to answer questions
and give advice
and this thread can function as an emergency thread as well
also let her know if there's anything in particular you'd like to see in an article
and she will see what she can do

The early signs of Corruption are when a fellow Player is plotting strange things that aren't related to winning the game. The player may openly admit wanting to "break" the game. At this point the person can still recover completely; the cure is usually a stern talk or a good hug. Player corruption is *not* contagious between Players.
Corruption levels can be very low and show little symptoms. However, it can still be enough to allow destroying game abstractions. It may progress slowly or spike quickly because of emotional trauma. High-level corruption is followed by glaring symptoms which I will now describe.
When the source of corruption is the Others, it is easy to diagnose at high levels. The symptoms are: dark skin, speaking complete nonsense, "dark shadows" surrounding the person, stats becoming critically high (no it's not worth it) and blacking out remote-viewing abilities in a large radius.
Angel corruption is harder to diagnose. Low-contamination players have a tendencies to speak highly of themselves, to make long flowery sentences, to see despair everywhere and imagine "salvation" in completely bonker ideas. The symptoms of high-level contamination are: a white-ish aura, raving incessantly about imminent apocalypses, stats becoming critically high (even less worth it), glitching ability casting in a wide-range and "choir singing" playing constantly to announce the person's coming. The critical-infected Players also sport a yellow halo above their head. By the way, the first thing you should do when you see that halo is to grab it and break it on your knee. No, not because it does anything important. It just feels great.
