Well I just noticed Flow and Rhyme were flipped, and I wanna know why.
Can someone tell me?

GGtG was never really happy with the name for Flow. He even noticed that the word "Rime" exists meaning "thin layer of ice", not to mention, stuff kind of stops flowing when it freezes. Someone suggested to swap and... There we go.

Oh. I thought Flow was based on the icecream man, and his whole thing is that he could easily Flow between different Grooves and Shades, while the other guys just tried to keep Rhyming and lost.
I guess it still works this way but I don't think Flow matches what Rhyme did before that much.

Well you're right about that, the Aspect is heavily based on the Icecream man. Both Flow and Rhyme are based on And It Don't Stop. That's another reason why their Whisperings are called Shade and Groove.
Now for the switch: I briefly considered to switch them a long time ago. I decided against it, since I didn't want to retroactively change any major thing in the FAQ. It felt too much like trolling the readers. So I left as it was.
However, the FAQ was later visited by the official musician for the Homestuck album who made the music that also inspired the icy Aspect: the music "Flow", renamed Frost, which became the theme of Jade's Land.
Said musician (who is a cool bro) claimed the Flow Aspect and agreed that Rhyme would fit it better. I felt that this was the right amount of pressure to go along with the change.
In fact, "shade" means "rhyme" in And It Don't Stop so that makes the icy aspect's Whisperings the Shade of Rhyme, which is exactly the kind of redundant nonsense that I like, such as Breeze of Breath or Blight of Doom. I also feel that "Rhyme" fits both the ice and fire Aspect indiscriminately. But I'm unhappy about the fate of Flow because it's an Aspect name that is missing something.
I'm open to any suggestion on what to call the fire-spamming intensity-loving Aspect that sets the beat to the heart of the team. "Flow" doesn't have the same punch that it used to deliver. It used to be called rhythm but that's two syllables. Somebody also suggested "Beat", which I think is nearly better than "flow" just by itself.
Anybody agrees with "beat"? Any other suggestion?

I would suggest something like Verse or Ode. But Beat works fine too.

Beat fits the rapping thing that seems to be going on there. Verse or Ode sounds a lot like something more classical.
Either way I pretty much like Flow as a favourite.

"Pace" comes to mind. I think Flow might still be better, though.

I like 'Flow' for fire, because it still connotes that idea of motion.

Yes. It actually bugged me when the Aspects of Stillness and ice name suggested movement. Non-indicative names are one thing, but contradictory?
I was pleased with a change, and the swapped names rubbed on me.

I don't think Flow and Rhyme will get new names now, the old one have been there for a while and they're there to stay!
But feel free to pretend that "Blaze" from that test and "Flow" from our AU are the same aspect XP. (other suggestions: Zen->Dream; Form->Mist)
I would also like to point out that that test is a completely unaccurate way of getting titles for this AU. First, it assignes titles on the basis of what "fits" the person, while in GG's canon SBURB does the exact opposite. Second, many aspects seem to have been assigned a rather different meaning than GG's.

I look at it as being from a different branch of version drift, and it does assign opposites half the time, it depends on your level of maturity. Therefore it's only completely inaccurate half of the time ;D I agree with Form to Mist there, but isn't Zen, the aspect of acceptance, a little more like Stars?

Zen is an espect described as dealing with perfectionism on the test. Ounds like Dream to me.
