This arose as a result of a collective headcanonstorm we had on a chat.
Basically: what happens when a person starts getting the same Aspect more or less constantly? We were looking at the plan that tT has for his character, and the deal sN has with her character. The idea is that the Whisperings of their Native Aspect start to cling to them.
It is a gradual process that starts after more than ten sessions spent as a Hero of Native Aspect. Those people are almost always vets, and they experience some favours from the Aspect, like sN still has protection granted by Null, or gA is more or less immune to radiation thanks to World of Space. This accumulates the more often a Player rolls their Aspect of birth and culminates in some really extreme forms. We started to call them Awesometiers, but it is obviously not a real name, just a placeholder.
Name: Exemplar of X? Scion of X? Probably not Champion, we already have a pair of classes called Champion. Maybe Bride/Groom of X? Scion is too similar to Heir. Obviously no need to restrain yourself with one-syllable name. This is more a theory and construct, not an actual Mythological Role.
The Awesometier more or less allows this Champion and Exemplar of an Aspect to disregard the game mechanics in favour of getting things done with their Aspect guidance. The difference between the very attuned Player and an Exemplar is when they stop listening to their Whisperings and the Whisperings start to listen to them.
As a result, the Awesometier is no longer controlled by their Aspect, and can pick and choose positive and negative factors as they wish. Like the Doom Hero being able to keep the Blight under control, or the Void Hero no longer having his or her information stolen by the Null.
The best example would be the fabled GM, as an Avatar of Rage. She pretty much is personified DOMINANCE. She just tells people, carapaces, even the GAME itself to do things and it gets done. This normally would require Godhood of Rage, but she can pull it at level one on Echeladder (not that she would ever stay that way for long).
----
We had a discussion how the Awesometier would manifest for various Aspects and this is what came from it:
Void Tier would be like the corona of fadeout, acceptance of being invisible, the ability of a perfect butler or ninja. They would appear and share information as they see fit, cause Null would eventually stop blocking their communication. They turn being ignored into their greatest asset, quietly distributing boons and gifts.
Rain Tier would be complete controlled chaos, and subversion of game mechanics. The Avatar of Rain would for example resurrect other Player by gathering their broken Health Vial and using glue, spit and make-believe to repair it. And it would work just fine.
Mist Tier would involve their Reverberata changing and expanding, as they are opening up to be even MORE of the things. Ultimately they could just assimilate everything in their form, and change shape to unpararelled degree. Perhaps shapeshifting.
Hope Tier is basically... well, for everyone that watched the eponymous anime Madoka. They reject some fragments of reality that would harm them or their friends, and substitute the resolutions that work in their favour. Hope is also really hard to become. You have to reject the aspect. Only then you will be Hope Tier.
Life Tier would probably involve fertile feet and healing effects spontaneously appearing. The Life Avatar would walk in the room and turn it into a garden. It is not chaotic like Rain. The Growth is perfectly orderly and harmonious. Also, these Heroes could give immortality with a mere touch.
Conversely, Doom Tier would bring the Blight, but it is controlled. Instead of harming everything they would bring aura of solemn contemplation, ruin, but restrained one. Voices of dearly departed can speak to them, to make peace with the living. Shepherd the dying to their rest, and respect and rituals to their remains. "All things come to an end."
Breath Tier would be an Image of a responsible Sky God, Ishtar or Perun, that guards and protects the Pantheon with their mastery of Destruction. The Breeze would be like a faithful watchhound, never too late to defend. Destruction is restrained, but still deadly. Things that are old and obstruct are destroyed to make room for the new.
Mind Tier would be a technological Ascension, transfer of mind to machine, transhumanism. Machines work faster, air is charged with electricity. Cyborgs and mind uploading are here. The Mind tier can use computers for outside storage, kill with a shock like an electric eel, rewire the very brain with sufficient precision and focus, immune to EMPs.
Fate Tier is a trailblazer, a pathcutter. They are always right at the centre of the matter. Their gut instinct is now perfectly clear and married to logical mind, not opposing it. Also, they cut every obstacle in their path. Mystic Eyes of Arrow Perception become overlays on reality, no longer a separate mode.
Dream Tier is creativity, controlled and orderly. The thoughts start appearing from thin air, given glassy shapes and life. They control abilities would be staggering, and they would be practically unharmable. Infinite real creativity, perfect memory for the past, ability to reconfigure and copy as they choose to make their art more beautiful as necessary.
Light Tier is a perfect path that also favours their friends. Like Dance of Thorns, except those Thorns don't fall on anyone, they just are not there, or fall to the enemies. Their knowledge is near omniscience, like that usually given to the First Guardians.
Law Tier: Goddamn Batman, and let us end it there.
Heart Tier could be emotional - not control, but harnessing. They know emotions, they can harness them for the energy and will, they can transmute unproductive emotions to productive ones. They have a deep knowledge of what the Shiny really is, how it can be affected, and why it really works.
Blood Tier: The Pulse swells in the Player, spills and animates everything, putting the very landscape under the Blood Hero's command. They could reinforce themselves and still have enough Pulse to share. The indestructible army of Heroes would be a fact, not a dream of overambitious Bloody Ones.
Flow Tier: Fire immunity. Awesome guitar solo skills (kidding). Runs at a higher body temperature, is never cold, can possibly control the flow of heat. Can make things keep going against friction and gravity. Imparting momentum. Fixing mechanisms to make them go on forever. Possibly fire-breathing.
Rhyme Tier: Runs at a lower body temperature, is never hot, can freeze things at a touch. Absorbing momentum. Can make things slow down and stop despite them supposed to be forever. Creating friction. Possibly ice-making. Also, lowers tension in the group. Absolute Coolkid. Makes awesome ice cream.
Might Tier: Friendship. Intense empathy for all, but great will and heroism. Answers all challenges fairly and promptly. Good judge, with compassion and fairness. Cohesion, whether of groups or of objects. Able to call forth water whenever they want.
Sand Tier: Once they can control their own tendencies, can tell the difference between truth and falsehood - perfect lie detector. Similar to Breath hero, destroy the old to allow the new to prosper. Salting the earth to prevent conflicts from going on forever. Cleansing. Scouring from the sins. Kinda like the Accurser or Karmic Trickster figure. Also really good at making desiccators for some reason.
Time Tier: Hero of Time would have a map of nonlinear Timelines in their head, and they would choose which parallel line they want to experience. Also, zero Doomed Timelines. Each Timeclone is a valid person that doesn't die, they just share conciousness like a Fractured Heart Hero, but without the confusion (think Dirk thing, but on steroids).
Stars: Ultimate acceptance. They can deal with everything and allow everything to happen. Are not constrained with gravity anymore, and can extend this boon to everyone. Also they produce their own gravity and weight, both real and metaphorical. The keyword is Profundity.
----
We also discussed which Classes would get their Ascension quicker and which would have to undergo more quests:
Banes and Sylphs advocate their Aspects' will, so they are good candidates for this - provided they're advocating something that aligns with their aspect. Cataclysms have a love-hate relation with their Aspects, but they understand it well, at least the darker part of it. Tacticians have complex insight in their Aspect, and eventually truly understand its nature, so they are most likely to Ascend.
Conversely Heirs and especially Wards would have it worse. This is cause they are handed their power on a silver plate, they don't really need to understand their Aspects to get it.
ADNOTATION: Original idea is by tT, main contributors are gA, lC, sN, mL and oG. Sorry I didn't listed all of you but I kinda wrote it at 4 am my time, so yeah.
