And a current co-player that's been around longer then me has been joking that a Seer of Law might as well start wearing a blindfold for practice So Any merit to this? Can't seem to find anything to support a seer of law being any more prone to going blind, but hell, might as well check to be sure And how likely is this to follow me to my next session, assuming I make it outta this one I mean I kinda like shotgunkind and I figure that's gonna need replacing if I actually do gotta worry about this crap so that would suck if I can't use it anymore

If you can alchemize a Laser Rangefinder, Radar Gun, or Mechanical Bat with some form of earwear (earmuffs, headphones), you get Enhanced Echolocation Device. The catch is that to use echolocation, you have to turn off your vision completely so that the portion of your mind which is devoted to visual processing can use auditory processing instead. This means if you haven't already had your eyes put out in some fashion, you will need to wear both blindfolds and the Echolocation Device full-time. This trade-off is going to get you really good roleplay bonuses for Seer, whether you adopt it voluntarily or not. Grab yourself someone to Unbreakable Union for you, and let them laugh at you while you're barking your shins against furniture, to get full use of that huge roleplay bonus. Use a melee strife specibus if it is at all possible for you to get one (or trade for one). (I think only Seer of Space can pull the "let the Force guide your shots" gambit with a ranged weapon.) Good luck!

Really damn likely, actually. Both Seers and Law Aspects have a tendency towards being struck blind somehow, with both you're more likely to go blind than not. I ended up loosing my sight both times I've rolled Seer, though neither was a Law Aspect.
On the flipside, doing so gives you some massive RP bonuses like LC said, and unless you're a native Seer, doesn't usually carry over to your next session.
Space isn't the only Aspect that can shoot blind though, Fate is just as good at it (probably even better), while Light and Law can both manage it to a lesser degree. In your case, you'll just have to pick your shots carefully and use your Aspect to lower the odds of you missing. Not the most effective tactic, particularly with Shotgunkind, but it could work if you really wanted it to.

Welp. Guess I'll get on that alchemizing thing. I'll try an make that just in case, but I'll probably switch to something melee. Just so I can get some practice in with the blind fold. I'm sure I got something layin around.
Well damn. Guess I'll just look at the bright side of them bonuses, but it's good to know this probably won't follow me. My shotgun's my baby, I don't want to have to shelf her forever :C But yeah definitely going with something else with my inevitable blindness. Friendly fire's enough of a bitch when everyone can see, might as well not risk it
By the ways how bad or good an idea would it be to get our void or breath player to help me with a good blindfold? I mean I can tie a bit of shit around my face, but while i'm alchemizin shit, why the fuck not.

The only known seer that doesn't haver at least a slight tendency to end up at least temporarily blind is the seer of Mist. That's because the Haze will make it so hard to see anything that you'll be practically legally blind anyway after a while.
Not a certainty though. Maybe you could not worry about it until the problem presents itself? People in SBURB tend to recover from blindness pretty quickly anyway.
Just don't be alone so that if something happens to your eyes a bro can get you to safety.

Well, I am Native Seer and I got blind only when I rolled a Seer of Law. But maybe its just my luck.
Anyway, you would get blind just before or just after learning the [ASPECT Sense] ability. That means you can sense your surroundings with the Aspect as your lens. Basically a sixth sense (thats the name of Doom Sense, btw).
So once you go blind you could "see through" the presence of bad luck. Or covers. Or darkness. Its pretty useful like that, if bit nonintuitive at first
Still, echolocation sounds quite cool.

@tt: Eh, figure if I worry about it now I'll be a little more prepared when it happens. @ga: Huh, thanks for the tip, I'll be sure to tuck that away for future reference
