Ugh I swear this is probably somewhere but I can't find it so just going to ask: Do sessions move in similar time to this board/each other or no? I was thinking they don't. As in Say two people were in a session together previously, would they be moving in different time frames afterwards (ex. One has gotten through 1 sessions since, the other has been through 3)
Just checking for consistencies sake omo

What happens temporally on the fora is something that comes from LC's original ideas of the fora themselves and works like this.
Our good server administrator, artisticHourglass, spends the entirety of her time forcing a temporal order in Paradox Space. Every person in the fora accesses them through something called a "trans-temporal tunnel" tha basically forces them to post in a temporal order and this carries from session to session, so posts after you transfer will happen after the ones of your previous session. The temporal encryption forces you to behave linearly.
Notice that player that are not on the fora don't need to act linearly instead: since they cannot constantly check on each other there is no paradox in behaving non-linearly. So they can be transferred from a session where they find someone they had in a previous session, except that for that guy that session didn't happen yet and they don't know you.
Also: this doesn't mean that time flows for everyone at the same speed. Actually you can set how quickly the forum time flows with respect to yours. You can make it slow, so you see posting happening very sparsely but answer immediately, or very quick, so you see lots of stuff happening but take ages to answer.
The founders usually keep it 1:1 with AH's time.

...okay i think I understand that. Sessions move in different time from each other, but everything's linear on the board? So as long as two players who were in a session previously join the forums after that session, they should be able to see each other's post right? Sob, forgive me for being slow I'm going to blame being tired from work

Yeah, you've got it right. But if they don't join the boards while they're in the same session as eachother, they may start seeing eachother's posts at a weird time.

Sob, forgive me for being slow I'm going to blame being tired from work Yeah, that's right. It's even a little more than that - sessions were forum-goers are involved can be placed in a fixed linear timeline. AH is enforcing time linearity through the tunnels. Basically if there is a forum-goer the tunnel forces his first message to be place in such a way that it doesn't retroactively create paradoxes and weird time shit with any other player that has joined or will join the fora. Sessions with no forum-goer actually lack interaction with other sessions usually, so the point of whether they have a time ordering with respect to the rest or not is moot. Time is still allowed to flow at different rates between sessions though, so as long as the /order/ of the events is maintained, the temporal distance between two events on the fora may generally be whatever with respect to the one observed in real life.
