Hello. I wanted to run a my idea for a character and bugged-session past you to see what you thought.
Anyway, the character's name is David, and his Role is the Witch of Fate. He's a highly intellectual, and somewhat socially awkward- unlike most witches, he doesn't mind being the weird guy much, but he has a definite habit of using reason where intuition would better be served, has a tendency to let the contemplation of action lead him to inaction, and he doesn't see the point in letting other people figure things out themselves. The first two are problems he needs to overcome in using fate, but the third is part of why he's the witch.
As for the session he's in is thoroughly bugged, but not broken. I'm afraid of special-snowflake syndrome in regard to the session; I rarely do things the easy way, and I wanted to make an...interesting session.
In David's session, he's got a Void hero, a Mist Hero, and a Doubt Hero, which are all going to be leaking their infamous bugged scripts everywhere. Importantly, the interactions between doubt and mist in the session has mucked up the scripts determining who's timeline doomed, who's a player, and the script that marks the timeline doomed for death. This means anyone who got into the session won't be dying anytime soon- the game either keeps mistaking them for the mist player, or can't be sure if their timeline doomed or not. Most player's families made it in, one didn't and a few people just survived the Apocalypse the hard way. I'm also stealing an idea from spacetimeCounselor, in that nobody shows signs of ectobiological generation (which means pesterchum wasn't always used, and eye color doesn't match text color, etc.) There's also a whole host of identity related problems, such as problems with the sprite pendent.
In addition, I'm planning to have David prototype the videogame Persona 4. In it, the main characters accept their Shadow (a manifestation of whatever they're denying) and as a result gain superpowers. They then use these superpowers to solve murders. The main issue with this is the production of a "evil-twin" type enemy, who pull psychoruins-style junk as an attack tactic, and try to mess with your head. Defeating them triggers a script which induces a Revelawesome for anyone who defeats them, which means not only do players learn abilities at a vastly increased pace, NPC's and nonplayer humans also pick up abilities, thanks to the bugged nature of mist and doubt confusing everyone's identity.
