So I dunno, you guys been following what this dude's been up to? Dealing with an infamously fucked-up session, recently revealed to have been more or less masterminded by... himself, from the future. SC's first session was more or less me throwing as many cool ideas into a story as I could fit without breaking causality. You've got meteoric returns to Earth, glitched double god-tiering, a tame Ringwraith, nontraditional veteran entry mechanics, zero-gravity planets... pretty much the works as far as crazy shit I came up with goes.
Recently, though, I've been dealing with how to give SC a tragic character arc. As you may have noticed, the dude's got gamebreaking aspirations and a perceived moral imperative to find answers. He's well-equipped to deal with Sburb and become successful... which is why he's got to fail. It's neither consistent with the setting, nor an interesting story to have him succeed. The idea is to have him ultimately succumb to desperation, become corrupted, and die- as a somewhat skewed parable against trying to unravel the game's secrets.
So Act 1 (his current adventure log and conflict with more cautious players in the IRC) doesn't accomplish a whole lot- it establishes the character and his motivations, and gives me an opportunity to indulge in a whirlwind of ad-hoc storytelling and session shenanigans because that's like the whole reason I'm here y'know?
For Act 2, his second session, the plan is to set him up for a fall- putting him in a session with a cast of like-minded OCs, giving him a love interest, and allowing him to put his investigative inclinations to work. He digs up loads of information (I've got some FAQs for the AU in the works, written from his perspective) and builds up a hero complex in his head.
Act 3 should encompass his third and the end of his second session, and his total descent into despair and corruption. Session 2 ends in total catastrophe, driving him to an all-or-nothing suicidal plan to destroy/uncover the game that ends in severe corruption. I don't really have plans for the character past that downfall- people have expressed interest in roleplaying in this session, and whether he dies or is redeemed I'd like to leave up to other writers and their players- ideally it'd be the end of SC's character arc, regardless.
so yeah there's all that laid out if folks have input on that for whatever reason; got a place to hold drabble about the character and all.
