Oh god oh fuck
Okay, so a few days ago I was just going around, minding my own business, doing some terraforming on my Land of Shadows and Toadstools when suddenly I got THAT FEELING. You know the one- someone had just played the player command Calamity, which we all know means SERIOUS BUSINESS is afoot.
Two players weren’t logged into pesterchum and I was tasked with hopping over to their lands to see if they were dead. Yep. The Mind players land was about as dead as a doornail.
Long story short, there is a Player Killer in my session, a Space player. Of the original eight, I THINK the Smith of Time is still kicking around, but it’s hard to tell. I’ve camped myself down in the Skaia Magnificent because I’m hoping Space’s aversion to the weird special structure will keep him out and buy me time. I’ve gathered four pendants (the Seer of Void had the good sense of map out a plan of the Skaia Magnificent- makes getting onto the dead lands easier) and I’m getting the fifth today. Then…I’ll have to check to see if the PK got the Smith of Time.
Fuckfuckfuck. What if I’m the only one left? FUCK.
Okay. I’ve never dealt with a PK. Used some psychology Hope stuff in my first session for some Aggrievance, but I don’t know if my knowledge or abilities are high enough to deal with this guy. I’m dreading that I’ll have to go and shut him down, but if he’s already killed everyone else, what chance have I got?
I’m half considered trying to kill myself on the questbed and force my first ascension. (Does that hurt? Fuuuuuck I really don’t want to kill myself oh fuck)
I’m freaking out. Just a bit. A tiiiny bit. So…help?

First things first- You cannot self terminate, so to speak. Your Exile will prevent that, which is bad in this case.
Secondly- You're in the Skaian Magicant, yes? Look on the map your Void player made for something called the 'Clock room' or anything along those lines. It may just be a huge scribble, mind. I've never come across the place myself, but I'm told it feels like a huge mess for Space/Time players.
The long and the short of it? The room contains many, MANY clocks. The ones you want should be in the middle of it all:One grandfather clock for each player, complete with Aspect symbol for easy identification. Living players get working clocks, dead ones have broken ones... You can see where this goes. Advantage of this method is that you can confirm your Smith whilst you stop your Space player. Disadvantage is that finding the place can be a pain and if they get there first, it's pretty much game over.
If you go for this method? Take a crowbar.

I will start from the end. Don't attempt to self-ascend. It's useless. Suicide is exile-disabled. You would go on your quest bed and then just be unable to do anything and risk being caught.
I have good news and bad news. The good news is that Space has nothing on Hope in terms of strife (sorry boss, you know it's true). The real tiebreaker here is: do you know [Hope Rides Alone]? If the Smith is dead and you know that I don't think that the guy can really kill you. That ability is broken as hell.
The bad news: Maid is not exactly a combat class. But it gets a nice bonus in other areas. Have you tried just dumping all your psych buffs on the guy? It could calm him down. Then I advise jumping them and breaking every single bone they have in their body. That will teach them.
I've found that breaking a significant number of bones in one's body is generally a good way of stopping a PK, although sadly it was probably easier for me (Bane of Flow).
Don't move from the Magicant. Actually, better to try and face your PK there, he will be nauseated and that will give you the advantage. In fact, as long as you are there, unless he is tragically ahead on the echeladder I don't think they really can get you. I mean, portals work funny over there, and that would even deprive him of the surprise element.
Try to ascertain whether your Time is Player is alive. Hope vs Space should already be feasible, but Hope+Time vs Space should be so one-sided it's not even funny. Is the Space player much ahead of you on the echeladder? That's an interesting thing to know. Finally, if you have your Smith around then they can make you ascend.
Also, please give us more details. Class, chumhandle? Someone might know him from before and be able to help you more effectively. If you give us some information on him we'll add his profile to the masterlist. It's not much but even if it doesn't help you it may help other people in the future.

Okay, I made my way to the Clock room ML talked about (holy fuck what is with that place. The ticking actually creeps me out so much)Anyway...Smith of Time is gone. His clock was broken. There's only the PK Mage of Space and I. His chumhandle is gladiatorVictorius. He's got that kind of pompous attitude most mages seem to have.
Any idea's on how to lure him in the Magicent? We aren't terribly different on the Echeladder, but I'd rather not take my chances and face him outside of this place.

I'm sorry you're alone in there. That said, a broken clock means a dead player. Nobody said that it was a one way connection.

That is a very sad news, but implies that you have an almost completely amped up [Hope Rides Alone]. If you feel that you are ready to face him, just let him know that you are there. with a class like Mage and a chumhandle like that he is bound to be cocky enough to try and come and get you.
If you think that the other will end up that anyway, You can also try breaking the clock. But keep in mind that they are selectively indestructible, so to speak. They break by themselves if a player dies, but if you try to break them yourself... Well, you'd need the right tool. Powerful weapons imbued with Void and/or Time, for example. If it was that easy, everybody would be using that hack forever, wouldn't they?

As a Void player, I suggest you imbue whatever your weapon of choice is with Time instead. Void weapons are a tad iffy, to say the least.

I'm nervous about messing with his clock- I've always been leery of trying to mess with core internal working of the game, since everyone I've heard doing it wrong has died/been scarred for life. After all, if this was a thing that worked 100% everyone would use it.
I'm going to openly challenge him. I've got all the dead's pendants now- I'll just have to finish any left over duties the other had, finish terraforming my planet, and face the Black King. And win this. And cry in a corner. And go on...it never really stops, does it?
I've sent the message. Come at me bro.

Good news- a new asshole was indeed ripped. [Hope Rides Alone], holy jesus fuck. I've used it before of course but HOLY SHIT. There was just insane levels of power in the attack. Christ. I don't think there was a bone in his body that remained unbroken. Except maybe those tiny bones you have in your ears. It's hard to get at those.
ANYWAY, the long and the short is the fact that he ended up leaving the Hope player for last was a GIGANTIC mistake. The fight didn't last very long.
Heck, with only myself left to face down the Black King, [Hope Rides Alone] is going to be REALLY useful.

Oh thank the Whisperings, you made it out of there alive.
I wonder...Do you have any idea what set him off like that? Or was he just one of those players?

I'm not sure. It all happened very quickly. He was quite the competitive guy- it's possible he contracted Meglovania or Umbral Ultimum without anyone noticing and in his bid to make the game harder decided to wipe out the rest of the team.

Ok. [Hope Rides Alone] will let you win that game. Confirm that fuckers death, by the mean of the clock. If they are a God Tier, their death was a Just one (it always is for a PK), and their clock is stuck on DERSE.
Good luck
