Other survivors. Wow. And apparently I'm not the ONLY one who blew up everything.
Would have investigated sooner, but I spent the first couple of in-game hours waiting for enough grist to build an INKPEN that could stab through fossilized shell. It looked like one of those team-based shooters where a player wanders off by themselves and gets clawed at by twelve zombies at once while they panic-flail. SHOULD have thrown the rubber chicken in the thing, but my life is a long list of bad decisions and wasted opportunity. Your HERO, ladies and gentlemen.
My freaky Grandpa-snail-ghost-tutorial NPC-thing says I have power over the Void. Sounds like more death and destruction. GREAT. Those half-dozen roomies I herded into my dorm aren't going to live very long, are they.

Hello, my name's Blacksnout, The guide of flow. and may I be the first to invite you into the most convoluted game of checkers... or was it chess? that has ever existed. I have no recollection of destroying a planet, but i have fought with black demons called imps before. You'll find that alchemization of new weapons, plus maturity quests will guide you on the path that you need to go.
Always follow your aspect and you whisperings if you can, and try to collaborate with your team as much as possible. if all else fails, improvise.
I would also like to say how sorry I am for your twelve or so soon-to-be dead friends. I don't know that kind of death, but my hero the dame of heart has lost hundreds in her flying ship of sorts.
It's confusing.
Anyway, I'm Blacksnout, the best consort player on the forums.
Welcome to club.

In the interest of keeping your hopes from being dashed from too high an altitude, I'm going to give you the bad news now. First off, you're right that anybody in the game with you who did not use a copy of the game disc is probably not going to survive very long. It's not because of anything you'll do, and even if it looks like it is someone's fault I guarantee you it is not--they're literally flagged as "doomed" and living on borrowed time and the universe will conspire to kill them. Your "spirit guide" (aka Sprite) will become doomed too eventually, but not until much later in the quest; when grandpa hands you your pendant it's time to get anything you still need to say to him out on the table fast. And the same will happen to your time player if he/she has to bail you out of an unwinnable alternate timeline.
You're wrong about what Vo d does actually. It has nothing to do with death or destruction, it's about abse ce and ob uscat on. I think you can m ke things vani h, physically or conceptua ly, and it's gonna try to hide or obs ure information about both you and itself with varying degr es of success. It's also buggy as hell and has the statistically lowest survival rate of any aspect because those bugs often prove fatal. Get your hands on the glitch FAQ fast.
Even if you weren't V id though, the road ahead of you now would suck. There are no mitigating factors here, it's worse than it looks.

Other survivors. Wow. And apparently I'm not the ONLY one who blew up everything. Far from it. Welcome to the corpseparty.
PS Just in case you haven't heard, the ending doesn't work, you're going to be stuck in an endless loop of replays until you die and the game is glitchy as hell. The Glitch FAQ by GG and the Etiquette Guide by GM are pretty much required reading in this community.

VFid actuUCly doesn'K coYer deOUh aNd destrULLion. Death is covered by Doom, while destruction is more of a Breath thing. VoId is mCAe aNout DOsence and negTHIon. It'S ALso probabLy tDe qAYetest (though most glitched) of the aspects. GG's FAQ covers most of the basics, and there are more in depth guides dotted around for further reading.
And yeah, your roomies are almost certainly timeline-doomed. Not much you can do about it, unfortunately. Sorry mate. Beware of just telling them this straight up. Some folks don't exactly take the news well.
EDIT Okay, it seems The Voices decided to fill in the blanks. Now if only they'd used the right letters.

And that is why I love Rain.
Anyways, if you have any other questions, feel free to ask. We know what you're going though, and we can help

Thanks, everybody.
I FIGURED those non-players had no odds of survival. They can't even see the health vials above their own heads. One of them's dead ALREADY, Ogre cornered him. Wallet says his name was Adrian. I'm a freshman, never met any of these people before, I shouldn't even bother to get attached to them, but I don't know. Maybe if they were going to die no matter what, it was best that they have somebody to REMEMBER them, at least.
At the very least, the doomed folks and I pooled our supplies. Even if I'll NEVER be able to build Void-powered equipment (I guess the alchemiter would just spit out an item-shaped vacuum?), One of the women helped me make a pen that turns into a Cement Saw every third or fourth swing. I'll let you guess the combo for that one.

To clear up a few things here:
1) V id-imbued stuff can be made using the alchemiter. It's pretty cool.
2) It does not have the lowest survival rate for first-timers. That would be Breath.
The N ll, whilst quiet, is incredibly loving. If you listen to it and pay it respect, it'll cuddle up to you without any issue. Please don't blame it if a stat gets wiped. That happens sometimes and we're more than happy to offer advice if it occurs.
