To anybody who lost a limb in their first session, get it off your chest. You're not alone

man, you are aware that if your self image (represented by Dream Self) has that limb, you still can get it back by God Tiering or Corpsesmooching?
Seriously, loss of an extremity is not a big deal.

Not to mention that we have several people who lost their limbs and created robotic prosthetics. Ask around and we can help you make one

Mmm... loss of limbs is pretty easy to deal with. Particularly if you're Life (healing) or Rain (you have spares).
And man, have I lost a lot of limbs as a Rain aspect.

Only time I ever lost an eye, I lost my brain right after it. Didn't have time to walk around maimed.

well, you guys obviously didn't go thought the same tragic experience that I did. You know losing your arm can be pretty scary. All the blood and shit. I should probably mention that I didn't have any healer in my session, so bugger off. I had to rip the arm off of a dead bear and run electrical nerve impulses through it for a week. Once it got working, I ascended and it was still there. Don't give me any of that unbearable shit about how "you could have done this." I couldn't and now it's a part of me.

You must give one hell of a high five man.
To be fair, well, losing an arm or a leg might be a somewhat solvable issue, but it is still is pretty horrible to go through. Ask BS what sort of mess he found when I was attacked by that azurite earlier in the session.
Turns out that bleeding to death and /knowing/ that you are bleeding to death and hoping your Life player will make it in time while you fumble through your sylladex to get some healing item and your modus is all like "lol no" because you clearly are not really in your right mind to solve equations, what with missing an arm and a foot, and you only have one hand anyway, well, is not a very pleasant experience.
I still have my own arm and foot now. Mike, who is by the way one of the most awesome people ever, apparently managed to get to my spire right after I passed out from blood loss and managed to fix me and our Sage of Space up. I was lucky and I BS and CD saved my butt. It's still something I would rather not go through again if I could help it.

I didn't completely lose a limb, but I several times ended up with limbs so mutilated and damaged that they no longer worked. Instead of viewing this as a setback, I always saw it as an opportunity to practice my Flesh abilities, even if it meant I ended up with 4 limbs with different materials as a base (arms made of meteoric iron are ludicrously strong, though they have poor manual dexterity. Legs made of the stuff are much more useful).
