Hey if I've got a forum account I might as well use it (and abuse it), right? Right. Let's keep a diary of my session then!
Okay so this is mainly for sorting my own self out but hey if any of y'all notices a potential warning flag lemme know right :3
This is the session that we call Team GFD for whatever reason~ It consists of six players total, myself the Seer of Rain, a Mage of Time, a Rogue of Space, and some other guys. Uhhh the Life player, and the Guide of something or other, and I don't remember what John is at all. Well. I'll remember later! In the mean time, we're total coolkids that managed to (barely) make it into the game for our first session ever!!
How on Earth did a rookie player like myself manage to get here anyway? Don't ask me man, but hey rain and seer-yness, I assume it must be a good combination for accidentally stumbling on interesting community servers on the pan-spacial multiuniversal interwebs. SO. That is my story and I'm sticking to it.
With that all out of the way, I'm going to now use this thread to keep track of my progress in sBurb. I assume you all don't want a gigantic infodump of our totally radical entry into the game so we'll skip all that and go straight to
DAY 28[/u]
Wow it has been a while now since we started playing! I hadn't even realized til I bolded that text...
I'm writing this from two places today! I haven't seen this trait in any of the many other Rain players I've been meeting around here (Rain is really common for some reason! How unspecial can I get my goodness?) but I and my coplayers have noticed that my IQ seems to be inversely proportional to the number of dupliclones I have out! Since it's just me and Tyler today though I'm mostly sane so s'all good. We'll probably get together later to merge and split and whatever. Fun stuff!
Currently on the agenda: Whisperings! I have heard a whole lot about the Voices from pretty much every source except the Voices themselves! Every now and then I think I can hear a faint little whisper at the edge of my mind, but I'm clearly not tapped into the essence of Rain yet. Fortunately, I made a neat-o discovery the other day!
Exploring around the area I have affectionately named Screamin' Gorge (it is a gorge. That screams. There are a lot of screaming things on my land) I found what I believe to be a "Skaian Summoning," which is a term I learned from a Whisperings FAQ (spoilerless of course! I'm trying not to spoil the game for myself you know). It's this lovely little cave inside the Gorge itself (actually it is a gigantic mouth) and once you get inside it's like everything outside is completely cut off--like, Screamin' Gorge is deafening outside, but once you're inside it you can't hear a thing. Totally silent. Pretty rockin'.
And it just feels nice, idek what else to say. I like it. I'm gonna try to meditate here for a while and if anything tells me to set something on fire I'm gonna do it. I will set something on fire. I'ma do it.
---EDIT---
Hey this is Tyler here, coming at you live from the Land of Fog and Maize while Tyler's off meditating :3 I'm trekking with my Guide Al right now, we're hunting plot! All them ruins and shizz. Poor Al, he just does not get the concept of sidequestin' or just having fun.
His Secret Consort said we'd find some Ruins of Great Import somewhere in this maze of maize (his land is like Silent Hill in a corn maze, totally creepy not like my nice land) which is hella helpful let me tell you but he seems to know where he's going.
Uh oh, looks like the cheese has started to fly! Imps incoming! Gotta cut this one short~
