So I've been working on my character's character arc and I don't want him to be too cheesy/Mary Sue-y... and I would like to get more into roleplaying with the community, so I'd like advice as far as if this sounds like a good character arc. So far, tT/uA is in his "Third Phase" out of three, and most of my posts have been in Phase 3 of uA.
Phase 1:
teriyakiTinkerer's first session is as a Smith of Hope. Gamma-tT adventures through Sburb, getting into all sorts of adventures and ending up in all sorts of bizarre shenanigans, however doesn't really grow up all that much as his players end up dying left and right. Gamma-tT works with their Time player to create an egg imbued with the powers of both Time and Hope, with the ability to create a single miracle. The Gamma-Time Player goes back in time but identically goes too far and ends up being her own Guardian, having raised herself in the new timeline, Timeline Sigma.
In the past, Sigma-tT goes through Sburb. Sigma-tT grows and realizes that he can't simply accept things the way they are and that he needs to fight, facing his Nightmare Heir before Tiering and becoming a fully-realized Smith of Hope. However, due to the acts of the agents of Derse, he dies a heroic death.
In the final battle, The Egg of Hope opens up and Gamma-tT arrives. Sigma-tT having been the only player who permadied thanks to the actions of Gamma-Time, Gamma-tT's return raises the entire team's spirits and allows them to barely overcome the Black King.
The team celebrates and prepares to take the Ultimate Reward. They agree to hang out with eachother in the new world, although Gamma-tT feels uncomfortable and awkward about it all, since they aren't really the same people he knew, and he isn't the same one they knew.
The door is open.
The credits play.
The credits freeze.
Their only choice is... Replay.
Gamma-tT finds himself in a new session, knowing not what to do, and he despairs. However he lives on. He puts on a good mask and keeps playing because the game never stops. He finds Sburb.org and continues to play the game, and often brushes with corruption and time shenanigans, hardening on the inside while keeping up a cheerful and goofy mask on the outside when almost all he wants to do is sob and scream and die. But he keeps a little bit of his hope alive.
Gamma-tT never defeats his Nightmare Heir, no matter how many times he tries, and just gives up.
In his seventh session, he meets a couple who is hacking Sburb and intends to settle down and raise a family, having found a way to make sure they always replay together and almost finding a way to fix the damn credits screen. He's also reunited with one of his co-players from his first session who shows a romantic interest in him. It ends poorly, however, when it's shown that she's corrupted in such a heavy way that passes between sessions and she kills off most of the session. He barely makes it out alive and the tiny bit of hope in him dies.
He changes his Chumhandle to unfathomableArchitect.
Phase 2:
uA is a fatalist who believes in the inevitable, believing that there is no hope. The couple that tried to escape was punished with a horrific death. His tiny bit of hope was punished with being almost killed by one of his oldest friends. And for whatever reason, he can't roll anything but Doom. He rolls 5 sessions of Doom before passing out and winding up in a dream bubble.
In the dream bubble he meets Sigma-tT, and talks to himself about his life.
uA goes to his Earthsea Borealis and overcomes his Nightmare Heir.
Phase 3:
Most of my posts are from this phase of uA's life. Having been cheerful and hopeful and having been nihilistic and hopeless, he has a more balanced view on life and a loathing of Corruption, barely restraining himself from PKing people who suffer from Corruption even when other options are available. He no longer only rolls Doom.
