SORRY! Did NOT mean to spoil anything. If it helps any, I just went back and threw on the Spoiler tags. And I'm not trying to insult dM, or his mother, just pointing out a bunch of disturbing parallels. In any case, if his Mother IS GLaDOS. That means he's skyrocketed in my Awesome rankings. The No. 1 spot currently being held by cannonOverload. Because he's a thirty-effing-foot tall war mech. Please note that this is "Awesome" points, not "Badass" points. Yes, "Badass" is another category entirely.

How the heck is canove anywhere near the top of your "Badass" ranking? You've got that whole thing bass-ackwards, if that's how you're ranking things.
The Founders go at the top, followed by Mislul and threadTreader.
canove's got a big gun, sure, but I'm more impressed by the folks who've actually proven that they have their shit together. Also, if you're just listing who has OP weaponry, Genart should still go at the top of the list. Nuclear fancy santa beats out "big gun" any day.

Oh, wow, thank you everyone for your assistance in educating me in the basic's of this Game, its been a real help to be sure. A special thank you, to both GA and IC for your advice on how to better gain the trust of my co-players. I've already managed to get the Knight of Mist I was talking about earlier to stop trying to stab or ignore me! Wonderful! Uh, sorry if that was in bad taste or anything, perhaps my Mother's frequent use of dark humor and sarcasm is starting rub off on me. Well, anyhow, we've started to work together and are currently wondering my Land together, trying to find some ruins and quests in these hectic woods. The Knight's name is Liam, and he's still a little bit... abrasive and dour, but hey like Mother always said, "SOMETIMES WE NEED TO WORK WITH DESTRUCTIVE FAT LUNATICS IF YOU WANT TO GET SOME SCIENCE DONE." He's at the very least helped me alchemize a weapon to protect my himself with. These Co-operative Portalizer Pistolizers are just marvels to behold.
Speaking of Mother, in response to any earlier question in the posts from WD, I must say no, my name is not Cave Johnson, its Adam Friday. Sometimes, through Mother and the Turrets call me Cake, for some inexplicable reason. I also just wanted to state that, even through there seems to be a frightening amount of similarities between this "Portal video game" and my own universe, I still can't believe that Mother would in anyway act in same as this GLaDOS character. Yeah, she can be kind of obsessive when it comes to getting SCIENCE done, and yes she does horribly melt and disassemble RED and LIME, when they annoy her with their ridiculous high-fives or first bumps. And sure sometimes she... um acts a little crazy or RAMPANT whenever certain topics are brought up, like lemons, potatoes and birds.
Really, she gets incredibly hyperbolic and terrified when a bird someone gets into facility. One time a I saw a Red Knot fly around her optic a few minutes, and it caused her to literally scream through every speaker in the facility about how they were evil and wanted to eat her. You don't even want to know want she did to the poor thing after she finally caught it. Augh.
But hey, she's still a great mother and the best scientist on my entire planet! Way smarter and innovative then any on those hacks at Skaianet or White Mesa. Seriously, those so-called scientits at White Mesa can't even create a inter-dimensional portal without completely botching it.Their engineers must be vapid MORONS without a word to say about the mechanics of instantaneous transportation.
Alright, I think that's enough about how awesome and um... quirky my Mother was on my now ruined Earth. I actually wanted to ask you guys another question. Mother's been gone for awhile know and I'm starting get concerned. When we had first arrived on LOSAWAF, she had just uploaded herself to an android body and flew off. I know this is vague question that you probably won't be able to solve with such limited information, but can you guys think of when she might return.

Happy to help! Let us know when you get in touch with your other co-players.
As to where she went, since your mom sounds pretty smart, she's probably headed for the "Skaian Magicant" one of the few relatively safe places in the "Medium" for non-players. Normally I'd say feel free to visit her, but the place is not "Space" friendly. Try opening up chat contact with her since she's probably client enabled.
If not, then I have no idea where she went, but just try and get in contact with her. I feel like if she didn't go to the "Magicant" then I've got a gut feeling that something bad is about to happen.

@ga ...Yes sir.
@sa Again, I repeat, he's at the top of my AWESOME list, and NOT my Badass list. The two are entirely different categories. Plus, only people I've talked to go on the lists. Obviously, the people who managed to establish the internet in a space of extremely chaotic non-linearity would be at the top of the list. Yes, in the list where people I haven't talked to go, they are up there towards the top of the Badass section. But I'm only going on hearsay with that.
@dm ...Must... Resist... Urge... To... Make... "The Cake Is A Lie" jokes. ...Wait... Portal Pistols? Darn it, Adam. You make me wish I had Gunkind. I would ask for the recipe to make them if it weren't for two things: One, It probably involves a Portal Gun of some sort. and Two, our Gunkind user, Jake, kind of has an end-game RPG area as his land. Which is to say, a utility-based weapon? Not going to be all that helpful. Sorry. And yes, I agree, (Color) Mesa sucks. Their in-game counterpart, Black Mesa? Caused a resonance cascade. No clue what that means, exactly, might mean more to you than me(I got The Orange Box exclusively for Portal), but all I know? Is that it resulted in the world being taken over by aliens. We fought back, and the resulting war lasted, if I recall right, a whole twenty minutes. As for your mother, I don't really know what in the world she might be doing. Maybe she's trying to get herself Exiled so she can fix the post-apocalyptic Earth? Alternatively, she could be trying to track down the Skaian Magicant, like iC suggested.

((wD, seriously. stop fanboying over Half Life franchise))
@wd: your jets. they are still not cool enough. Probably a coolant exchange can help.
@stanz: I am not a badass, I am just good at not dying.
@dm: ... you are saying that White Mesa couldn't do a simple singularity drive right? C'mon, it is easy as fuck.
As for your mom, the best bet is that she is going to work behind the scenes to help you guys out. Thats what Guardians do. they love you and want you to succeed.
And teleport-guns are a good idea for a Space Cadet. Just be sure that you will actually learn to use [Portals] without them. Probably when you start doing Maturity Quests you will get the real deal.

Genart, there is nothing in Paradox Space that's going to convince me that you aren't badass. You are, dude, it's basically a fact as far as I'm concerned. Same way frogs are adorable and the Beat is a harsh master.

<| I'm sure she was a great mother, kid. But right now? She's off doing whatever she must for your own good |>
<| As soon as you can, though, you'll want to read through GGtG's guide and send it on to your co-players. It should hopefully help you all figure out what needs doing |>

I have an extremely glitched land. Land of impossible geometry and paradoxes. I nearly didn't make it to the first gate because every time I tried to move closer to it, it got farther away.

Your land is creepy. I wish I could trade.
Land of Woods and Fire.
The leaves are flames.
I had to find a way to stay cool
Answer?
Winter coat || snowcone maker && air conditioner. The air conditioner somehow makes ice. I refuse to question the logic because I like not being cooked when I visit my land.
I only tried the air conditioner because I coukdn't capchalogue the freezer due to being attactched to the fridge.
On the upside, I capthalogued some flame leaves and combined them with my Razorwire Yoyo to make the Burning Bach Yoyo! The string is razor wire (piano wire, really, and is the easiest part to hit an enemy with), while the yoyo part is on fire as it travels, but not in my hand!

My land is a bit odd, especially given what types of imps it produces. The Land of Unease and Weight is it's name. First unusual traits is apparent the second on I got here: this place has unusually massive gravity, even for it's considerable size. And this wouldn't be too big a problem if every gate wasn't at least 10 ft off the ground, so anyone coming to my land needs a plan, or else they go splat. On the bright side, it's an excellent workout travelling around, considering the high gravity and the annoying excess of mountain ranges.
The second was almost as immediate, and almost as severe: it produces incredibly odd underlings. Since the "weight" part of it's name is a physical force, it produces underlings that are sometimes made of physical forces. Gravity ogres, enthalpy imps, entropy lichs, kinetic rooks. These guys are actually pretty fragile, since they don't have much physical substance. The bad part is when they die, they explode in a burst of what they're "made of." Being caught in a burst of straight entropy is as unpleasant as it sounds. And these guys normally chain-react, due to their low HP.
The last thing is much more minor, but still noticeable: dealing with the "unease" means the land is permanently in an odd state of late dusk that gives everything odd shadows that make you think you see things that're really just benign shadows. My allies seem to be more creeped out by it then I am.

My land is PECULIAR FOR A REASON other than odd generation.
I have the Land of Steam and Gears and Frogs FOR MY LAND.
This is odd because I AM NOT THE SPACE player in the session.

Okay, I got something odd... glub Me and my best friend rolled up a single perfectly symmetrical world with our houses on opposite sides of the world, atop each other's denizens. It's the Land of Dark Spires and Duality, and it really is made of dark spires, the non-stable ones of which are liable to go sproing up into the air! glub The only stable places are the Earthsea and the two spires of our houses. Oh, and my friend Yukari killed her Denizen by being too friendly. glub Is that normal? It seems to have died of an insanity-induced heart attack. Has anyone else gotten two houses on the same world either?
