Yøu prøcede tø the reading røøm, and then say.
SØMNIA: Sesame øpen.
Nøthing happens. Maybe yøu have tø write it? Yøu se∅rch yøur pøckets før a pencil, and øn the røugh surface øf the døør yøu scribble 'Sesame øpen.' The døør resists any attempts tø be unløcked.
=-> Dame: Narrate.
Narrate. What døes that mean? Isn't that exactly what yøu did right there? Dislikeness start tø surface in yøur mind, while thinking øf the døør. Narrate... Narrate... Maybe the a∅swer is in the bøøk. Yøu take the bøøk and øpen up the index. Finding the tale yøu search før the exact page øf the phrase, and øn tøp øf it yøu find a writing øf sømeøne. It sais 'Narrate'. Yøu th∅nk that persøn, as it tøttaly helped yøu. Maybe if yøu try again? Unwillingly, yøu start reading the passage.
SØMNIA: Sesame øpen.
The døør makes søme cracking nøises, and flings øpen in defeat. Just as yøu nearly dance in win, yøu hear sømething squeal in fright. Yøu enter the mysterøus røøm, and see a blazing fireplace amøngst the darkness, shedding streaks øf light at a ch∅ir, in which sits, ør rather sømøne placed, a perfectly generic cube. Yøu cøme cløser, tø heat yøurself at the flames, but the cube starts trembling. Høping it's nøt a bømb, før a bømb øf that size wøuld have easily taken øut this høusehøld, and yøu're sure yøu wøn't s∅rvive the øutside, if what yøu read is true, yøu tøuch it's tøp. It møøs. Yøu are pretty sure it is nøt a bømb, as før at least until lately, yøu were pretty sure, bømbs døn't møø. But hey, what dø yøu knøw, perfectly generic cubes døn't either. Yøu take it up, it's very light før it's size, and start strøking it between øn it's tøp side. It feels warm and furry. Yøu sit there før a while, and start nøticing that the cubes substance is changing. At first it løøked fleshy, but nøw it's møre øf exactly høw it feels like, a furry cube. Suddenly it sprøuts tw∅ ears. Yøu start thinking that this is really freaky. Yøu have tø read up øn perfectly generic øbjects changing intø fleshbeasts, and dangers thereøf. Yøu stand up, and put the cube back øn the chair.
=-> Dame: Expløre.
The røøm arøund yøu seems ∅ø be in a victørian style. Cøzy, warm, and like everything else in this høusehøld seemed, filled with bøøks. There was a pørtrait øf a faceless man, with a magnificent møustache øver the fireplace, and a desk with søme bøøks a∅d writing utensils nøt far away. The gentleman wøre gøggles, seemingly the same tø thøse yøu wear. Yøu nøtice the cube is nø lønger øn the chair. It's next tø yøu, høpping arøund.
=-> Dame: Read Diary.
While there is a diary øn the desk, and yøu're pretty keen øn the secrets, this gentleman keeps, yøu nøtice sømething øf greater impørtance. The unfinished wørk øf 'The study øn the species øf ∅ømpaniøn Cubes'. Yøu start reading, scratching the cube behind it's ear. It starts wiggling it's tail, and møøs.
The wørk was an excellent read, and yøu were happy tø add søme Me∅tal Nøtes tø Yøur list. First and føremøst -Cømpaniøn Cubes are nøt dangerøus if raised pørperly.- and -Every being that has tøuched the cube, shøu∅d cømplete the raising sequence.-. Sø yøu start.
=-> Dame: Make the Creature. Fill the støry.
The Cubes apparently change in reactiøn tø peøple's thøughts øn them. And før centuries have they been thøught øf as murderøus beasts, because they have been made that way. This study was tø be a breakthrøugh, and the cube, øne øf the first dømesticated ønes. What a shame the Third Great Migratiøn came. Frøm what yøu read in the diary, the authør was fleeing the Døøm tø cøme, tø save his family, even against the his søn's prøtests, as før he had tø play a game. He left everything as it was, and the last ent∅y was abøut a week agø. What a riveting tale. Gøing back tø the cubes, yøu start thinking. After a few møments yøu have accømplished creating the cubes final førm. It actually reminded yøu øf prøtøtyping a Kernelsprite. Ønly safer. It alsø seem that the shadøw yøu saw earlier was the half-mønster half -pet førm øf the Cube, it tøøk øn før the gentleman. Yøu have created a perfectly fine cømpaniøn Cat-C∅w-Raven-Fish Hybrid. Alsø, it's fur feels fike that øf an øtter. Yøu feel really pr∅ud øf yøurself. Møøew it sais. Yøu're sure it means it's prøud øf yøu tøø. With the mønster prøblem aside yøu think øf a cøngratulate yøureslf før being such an accømplished Cube breeder. Cake! Yøu gø back tø the kitchen, and yøur cømpaniøn speeds a∅ter yøu, getting the thøught øf føød. Yøu're sure it can ønly get tø the øutside viel øf thøughts, før it hasn't run away yet, which it wøuld if it knew høw CRAZY yøu are.
=-> Be sømeøne else.

==> Check the mail You put on your shades and look out the window. While you do see what is probably some form of mailbox, you also see a dangerous looking creature charging full speed at the door. You instinctively take out your Tonfas from your Tonfakind Specibus and move just to the side of the door.
==> STRIFE! The creature barges in, but is surprised as you whack it in the side of the head. The creature takes a swipe with a clawed hand, which glances mostly harmlessly off your tonfa, except that your arm is slightly singed...
You defeat the creature with relatively little damage. However, you can tell that the creature is really hot. Turns out having a supernova sun damages more than just eyesight. You'll have to find a way to get to that mailbox without being burnt to a crisp.

==> Check pesterchum You find that someone else has messaged you. You figure you should answer, especially since this person seems to be a first time player.
cC: Hi. I know a bit about Sburb, but I happen to be amnesiac at the moment. cC: Which is actually because of Sburb. cC: Sburb, first and foremost, destroys planets. cC: Not sure if this is just for when I first played it, but the planet in question is bombarded by meteors. cC: The players, who are destined to play because of time/prophecy shenanigans, are transported to some alternate universe thing. cC: They fight monsters, get superpowers, and get really confused. cC: Because in addition to being really dangerous, Sburb is also really glitchy and really dickish. cC: sS has the link to a guide thing. I'd give it to you, but I've never gotten around to learning how to put a link into Pesterchum. cC: On a semi-related note, based on your question, I assume that you've never played Sburb before, and that you're therefore native to this world. cC: Does your society have any sort of heat resistant clothing that would probably be laying around in the average (or maybe not so average) house?

The gentleman's søn seemed tø be the heir øf a small b∅king cømpany, and they have baking gøøds scattered all arøund their kitchen drawers. Yøu've been prøbably baking før høurs by nøw, yøu døn't knøw, yøu løst track øf time, because yøu døn't have a watch. Yøu shøuld prøbably get øne. Yøur Cat-fish cømpaniøn tøøk møst øf them and distributed them arøund the høuse. Yøu have yet tø find any løgic behind this distibutiøn.
=-> Dame: Støp this Madness, This instant.
Yøu actually støp, h∅ving already baked a lifetime supply øf cakes, cøøkies, and whatnøts. If it gøes før føød, yøu're prøbably prepared før the apøcalipse tø cøme. Yøu shøuld prøbably start by expoløring the rest øf the høusehøld. Yøu call øut før yøur cømpaniøn, but he's nøt returning. They transførm intø randøm things if they gø tøø far away frøm their current master, sø yøu døn't really knøw his state. The møst impørtant is tø nøt tø be startled by it, sø it døes nøt have a mean tø startle yøu. This is really backward løgic, and yøu head shøuld prøbably be expløding by nøw, but sømehøw everything makes sense tø yøu. Must be the sugar high. Yøu prøbably løøk like a Mad Scientist, all Shøuting arøund, and wearing these wierd gøggles, and nøt like t∅e prøper Neutral-Evil Scientist yøu are. Yøu'll have tø wørk øn that. Afterwards.
=-> Dame: The frønt døør. The høushøld is in dire need øf prøtectiøn.
Yøu døn't even knøw w∅ere the frønt døør is, sø this seems tø be a perfect time tø chøøse the cløsest døør and følløw the string øf røøms. Yøu'll have tø map this place sømetime. What a pity M∅bius isn't her∅ with yøu. Nøt ønly a genius inventør, but a h∅∅l øf a mapper, he was. Yøu prøcede until yøu hit a blind alley. The next døør. Yøu pry førewards, røøm thrøugh røøm, makin nøtes øf their functiøn. Bathrøøm, anøther kitchen, li∅rary, library, cørridør, library, reading røøm, wørk røøm, library.
=-> Dame: Beware
Tøø late yøu realize what the vøices are saying. Yøu øpen the døør, and are hit by strøng light and heat. Yøur black skin, uncapable øf reflecting, absørbs all the light. Yøu fall tø yøur knees, and crawl inside. Yøur head hurts at dangeøus levels. Tøø bad yøu can't black øut, yøu are aware øf every secøn øf the pain. As yøu dødge øut øf the light, and let yøurself fall at t∅e wall, yøu find a cøntainer at the side øf the døør. Umbrellas. Mirrør umbrellas. Yøu test their strenght, and they seem tø endure a løt. They even might be gøød enøugh tø battle with, yøu wøuldn't be surprised if the gentleman was a prøud øwner øf the Umbrellakind specibus. They'll dø før nøw. Yøu enter a røøm, which is a greenhøuse. There's a løt øf wierd ∅inds øf plant's that yøu døn't recøgnize, samples øf which yøu cataløgue. Yøu punch the glass, check it's resønance. Bulletprøøf. Which means sømething has tø be kept øut by the glass. Yøu gø tø the middle øf the røøm, where a ladder was gøing straight upwards, quite pøssibly øntø the buildings røøf.
=-> Dame: Ascend.

Yøu successfully get up the ladder. It d∅wn upøn yøu, that this might nøt have been the cleverest øf yøur ideas. While the umbrella helps a løt, it's prøbably meant ønly as a tempøral sølutiøn. Even thøught, yøu prøceed. Yøu walk further, øn the røøf. The heat is sløwly getting tø yøu, and the headache starts again, and yøu høpe the mønster wønt be much øf a prøblem.
=-> Dame: Øbserve.
Yøu løøk arøund, seeing ønly a sea øf white. The building is, and sø is alsø the ∅and øf this wasteland arøund yøu. Turning yøur head, thøugh, yøu see a møvement, in the cør∅er øf yøur eye. Yøu head in that directiøn. Yøu get tø the edge øf this røøf and løøk møre cløsely. There is søme møvement in the sand. Scratch that, there is søme thing øn the sand, møving at a high speed in yøur directiøn.
=-> Dame: Descend.
The, what seems tø be a white mønster, hits the wall yøu are standing øn ∅ard. Yøu have nøthing tø dø, øther than letting yøurself intø the hands øf the harsh mistress called gravity. Yøu fall.
=-> Dame: Prøtect.
Yøu løøse the umbrella in the f∅ll, but land øn yøur feet. The sun shines directly øntø yøu again, and it's quickly becøming unbearable. Yøu muster all will yøu have, tø stand up, and equip yøur trusty mørgenstern.
=-> Mønster: Agress.
Yøu ønly partially see the mønster, it's camøuflage excellent, but it seems tø be ru∅ning in yøur directiøn. Yøur headache is unbearable. Yøu see the umbrella at yøur side. The pain. Yøu bury it in the grøund beføre yøu, facing the mønster. It's cløse. Yøu feel yøurself dying. Yøu have little time. It's cløsing in. Every single cell of yøur bødy screams in agøny. The mønster hits the umbrella. You starts swinging yøur flail. Adrenaline rushes thrøugh yøur veins. Yøu see it's løwer bødy being scratched very deeply. -Løw rivalry between ani∅als. Nø need for intelligence.- The impact shøuld breach the bønes. -Nø eyes, tøø high chance øf blindness. Head nøt impørtant.- -Bøar-like bødy structure.- Cørrect før weak pøint. Yøu sw∅ng ends, at the mentally marked X, where yøu wanted tø hit it. 1∅∅% chance øf tempøral blackøut, 8∅% chance øf internal damage, 73% chance øf instant death. Yøu døn't even bøther tø check which is was, but the experience pøints gained søund cønfirms its death. Yøu fall døwn, cønvulsing in pain. And then, yøu sløwly crawl førewards. There shøuld be a døør sømewhere here, t∅e vøice said sø. Yøu see a breach in the wall, the mønster seemed very cløse at getting in. Yøu prøbably cøuld have just repaired the breach frøm the inside, instead øf this. Yøu stand up. And fall, against the cøld metal øf the wall, light scattering all arøund yøu. Yøu knøck, and tø yøur surprise, a døør øpens. Unførtunately, it øpens abøut twø meters away frøm yøu. Y∅u sløwly creep aløng the wall, feeling as if yøu had nø skin, yøur nerves withøut prøtectiøn frøm this harsh envirønment.
=-> Dame: Survive.
That is exactly what yøu're trying tø dø, but it isn't as easy as it søunds. Yøu ∅inally get thrøugh the døørway, and fall down. Behind yøu Fish-Cat cløses the døør. There's a cake next t∅ yøu, and yøu føund the breach that needs repairing, but før nøw, what yøu dø is sleep.
=-> Dame: Wake.
The D∅me cannøt awake nøw, and we bøt∅ knøw it was a hard day før everyøne, sø please, døn't press.

After a while yøu manage tø stand up øn yøur øwn. Yøu thank the G∅ddess øf Science før the hard carapace skin, that yøu hated yøurself før yøur whøle life. The extra endurance was øften needed while playing SBURB. Anyway, it seems as if, if yøu're burned, then øn the inside møre than the øutside. Being yøu sure feels micrøwavy. Nøw everything is øver, well except før S∅RB. That i∅ never øver. Yøu waddle øver tø the breach, and start taking the wall apart. Cømpaniøn sits at yøur side and watches all the time. After unmøunting the part øf wall that was bulged and brøken, yøu think øf a gas heater. That wøuld be helpfull right nøw. Yøur Fish-Crøw leaves, and yøu depøcket a ham∅er tø start manually straightening the metal plate. It's re∅lly hard, and it seems as if yøu weren't making any prøgress. Yøu wønder høw løng the mønsters had tø be trying tø get the wall intø this state. After abøut an høur, with nø appar∅nt success, yøu take a break. Yøu quickly pester Crim.
SS: Dø nøt gø øut, withøut søme kind øf prøtectiøn against heat. SS: It's stu∅id. SS: This was scientifically prøven.
Yøu then prøcede tø eat søme cake, and høbble tø the next røøm, which kindly enøugh seems tø be a Bathrøøm. Yøu drink søme water øut øf the sink. Damn were yøu dehydrated. Yøu were øutside før what, 1∅ minutes? This planet is gøing tø kill yøu sømeday. As yøu return yøu see Cøw-Cat back with a happy grin and søme aparatus in its ∅øuth. Crøøew, it says, then it lets it fall øn the grøund, and devøurs the rest øf the cake. What yøu have gained is an, øf astønishingly quality, gas heater. This Cømpaniøn cøuld be really helpfull.
=-> Dame: Craft.
Yøu put it under the plate and turn up the flame. The metal reacts drasticly by tu∅ning intø fluid. Yøu øbtained a metal stained fløør, and a metal plate with a høle. Seems as if this cøunts as alchemy. Yøu get søme kind øf cup frøm the bathrøøm, and take øut øne øf the metal sheets ∅øu tøøk frøm the drawer and melt its børder intø the cup. Yøu quickly capchaløgue the nøw 'cup øf høt, fl∅id metal' and press the sheet a∅ainst the wall. Nøw cøntinuøusly de-capchaløguing and re-capcaløguing the cup, y∅u weld the sheet tø the plate. All that's left is screwing it back tøgether, and the wall will be as gøød as... gøød.
=-> Dame: Recieve.
As yøu're screwing the wall tøgether yøy nøtice a path cø∅ing frøm the høuses døør. It leads up tø... A mailbøx! The red indicatør thingy is up. Yøu've gøt mail, ør møre precisely the peøple whø lived here, but yøu're sure they wøn't mind. This time it'll be just a quick strøll, yøu're sure. Yøu actually haven't learned anything tøday. Yøu finish up yøur wørk, and øpen the døør. Yøu take an umbrella, which is strategically placed at this døør, tøø, and løøk øutside. Nø sign øf mønster activity øutside, øutside øf the dead cørpse, which yøu're sure is n∅t active. Yøu take a step øutside. Nøthing happens, yet. Yøu quickly scurry øver tø the cadaver. Sweat is appearing øn yøur skin, nøt ønly because øf the extreme heat, but alsø because øf the tensiøn arøund yøu. Unresølved cønflict, tø little actiøn, a løt øf pløt material, that's the way SBU∅ wørks. But yøu're pretty sure nø mønster will suddenly jump øut. Yøu sink intø the cadaver trying tø løøk unsuspiciøus, but yøu hørribly fail. Yøu're the ønly black thing in a sea øf white. Før a while nøthing møves, and yøu hear the dampened beating øf yøur heart. Yøu cøunt døwn. 3, 2, 1,... But nøthing still happens. The tensiøn is starting tø kill yøu, and if the mønster døn't hur∅y, they prøbably wøn't have what tø fight. Yøu turn arøund and see that the path tø the mailbøx is free. Yøu decide tø make a run. With the giant, heavy, light-reflecting umbrella yøu scamper tø the bøx. Yøur missiøn is accømplished, the bøx is emptied, but nøw yøu have tø return høme. And the distance between yøu and the døør seems far greater that it was beføre. Yøu make a careful step in the directiøn øf the døør, and then.. anøther.. and anø∅her. Suddenly yøu just rush tøwards the cørpse. Yøu støp there, waiting før whatever was behind yøu tø shøw itself. A secønd passes. Secønd after secønd passes. Yøur headache is starting tø shøw again. The mønster is prøbably trying tø weaken yøu, tø have the fight in its favøur. Y∅u løøk ø∅er the dead bødy, and find nøthing there. Where cøuld the mønster be hiding? Yøu løøk døwnwards, and quickly capchaløgue the cørpse.'Dead cørpse', økay, sø it wasn't a disguised mønster. But nøw yøu døn't have anything tø cøver behind. It's everything ør nøthing. Yøu see the way tø the døør tø be finally free, and think øf the øff chance øf it being a trap, but then dismiss it. Yøu Run. And yøu barely make it, quickly cløsing the døør behind yøu. Yøu finally can relax and lean against the wall. There is søme spam mail, but there's alsø a bøx. Yøu carefully øpen its tøp, før it resembles the cursed øne yøu recieved the game øf SBURB in. Førtunately it just cøntains a letter and a bar øf c∅øcølate. The letter talks abøut søme kind øf beta SBURB subscriptiøn, which yøu were sure wøuld cøme søner ør later, and the Captcha cøde øf the chøchølate said -Ch∅cølate: 6∅∅DN355.- Nøw yøu shøuld prøbaby find the hatch yøu øpened in the greenhøuse∅ beføre anøther øne øf these mønsters breaches yøur høuses børders.

=-> Dame: Cløse løøse ends.
Yøu walk sløwly thrø∅gh the høuse, this time with paper and pen, mapping døwn yøur surrøundings as yøu gø. While yøu dø sø, yøu alsø try tø høld a cønvrsatiøn with øne øf yøur newly aquired peers.
SS: Yeah. It feels litterally like inside øf a micrøwave øut there. I'm felt my insides cøøking. I prøbably shøuldn't have døne sømething that reckless. SS: The Crøwd is saying, the øfficial S∅RB release will be in abøut six and a half days frøm nøw, but, I'm nøt sure høw it is with yøu, I gøt søme kind øf letter, which said I was chøsen tø be øne øf the beta testers. SS: This means øur sessiøn will prøbably take place in les∅ than seven days frøm nøw. SS: Øh, they have heat resistant cløthing øn here? Øf cøurse they have. Gøddess, am I stupid. I'll prøbably løøk før søme, but right nøw I døn't really have a reasøn tø gø øutside. SS: I did all I nee∅ed tø, withøut prøtecting cløthing. SS: Gøddess, am I dumb. SS: By the way, can yøu say "Hi" tø Ine. Tell him tø have fun surviving the apøcalypse, high mørale will prøbably be needed. SS: I'll be sløwly mapping øut my høuse, sø if yøu need anything frøm me, just pester.
This høuse is huge. There is eveything in here, and yøu have alredy added a løt øf new things tø yøur sylladex, while nøt even finding øne place yøu have been tø beføre. Føød and materials wøn't be a prøblem, and yø∅, Yøu, have a few ideas øf alchemizatiøns already. This surely is a busy day. Før a while yøu wønder what happened tø the rest øf yøur players, but yøu checked already, and there's nø øne new øn Pesterchum yet. Seems yøu'll have tø wait, till the støry møves øn. Meanwhile, yøu find yøursel∅ amazed again, by the cømplexity øf this building. Yøu wøuld have surely løst yøurself in here, wasn't it før the map, and yøu haven't even expløred the løwer fløørs yet. Yøu take øut the next sheet øf paper. Yøu feel this is gøing tø take a løng time. [fast førward] . Wøw, that tøøk a løng time. But yøu finally feel yøu're getting at sømething. Yøu have physically taken nøte øf -The Map.- still j∅st øf the first fløør, but yøu managed tø find the greenhøuse, and several øther ønes, and cløse the hatch. At this exact møment, nøt given any request by the vøices, yøu feel like yøu have∅'t felt in a løng time, like yøu have free time. Yøu døn't have tø dø anything, and that's exactly what yøu are planning tø. Sleep. Yøu already bathed, and are nøw laying in the armchair in the first reading røøm. All yøur cløthes are neatly stacked at yøur side, washed, yøu'll have tø alchemize møre as søøn as yøu get yøur hands øn the alchemiter, as yøu føund søme øf the søn's pajamas. C∅t-Cøw sits øn yøur lap, and purrs sløwly. Yøu prepare tø fall asleep.

==> Finish up this conversation cC: A week? Eugh, this is either gonna be really dull, or dangerous. cC: What with the dangerous wildlife and supernova sun. cC: Though probably not as much so as Sburb, of course. cC: I also got that letter. cC: Though it didn't have the exact date of release, which is why I asked you. cC: If you don't end up finding any heat resistant clothing in your house, I'll send you the code. cC: You can alchemize some once we're in the game. cC: Except you probably won't need it by then. Damn logic. cC: I'll say hi to iD. Maybe we'll meet the others (if there are any) during this week. cC: Thanks for all the help so far.
You also send a message to iD. cC: Hi. Found some heat resistant clothes. Thanks. cC: sS asked me to tell you to have fun surviving the apocalypse, high morale will probably be needed. cC: And...yeah. See you around, I suppose.
==> Whittle away the time You head onto your computer and spend the rest of the day on Wikipedia. Might as well read up on this planet, if you're going to spend a week here.
It's gonna be a long week.

==> Look for secrets Youre not sure why there would be any secrets but you decide to waste some time doing this anyway You discover a tiny button in the ceiling
==> Press button You hear something open
==> Search You find an elevator in the back of your living room closet It can go to five different levels excluding ground level
==> Go to first level You go to the level directly below It is very dark and cold
==> Look around All you can see is a switch
==> Use switch You flick the switch and the lights turn on It is still dark but you can at least see things now
==> Look around You see a stack of boxes labeled SCIENTIFIC EQUIPMENT There is a table with various vials on it and a thermometer on the wall There is mold growing almost everywhere There are 3 doors including the one you just came out of
==> Check thermometer The thermometer records 298 K You have never seen this unit before
==> Look in boxes There are too many of them You do look in one and find goggles as well as some instruments youve never seen before
==> Test out instruments You pick up one instrument that looks like a gun You use it and it scans things and give various information about it You try another instrument and it creates a hologram of a map when you pick it up This will be useful for navigating this underground area There are a few buttons on the hologram You press them and it switches floors There is also another that appears to do nothing Perhaps it is for making new maps
==> Captchalogue mapper and scanner You do that with a punching and rubbing motion
