So, the subject says something, but I guess I'll elaborate a bit. I'm currently in the process of creating a character for this; I was wondering how this class would work? Like, if someone could explain a little in-depth or link me to something?

I'll probably be asking a lot of newb questions as I'm well,, new.

Also, on an unrelated note (god I'm going to feel super stupid asking this lmao I apologize x100000.) where would RP take place? would I just ask for some people to RP with on the role-play section of the forums or is there an IRC or something? I apologize for my lack of knowledge.

Help on any of my questions would be very much appreciated!

Smiths are active creators, who extend the story by engineering stuff directly. The class whose alchemies tend toward spikes and lasers through no fault of their own.

Stars is attraction (and acceptance and friendship): the antithesis to Hope's rejection. A Smith can use [ Stargaze ] to feel if a scheme will cause the right things to attracted together. Drift around on [ Bridge of Stars ] spam and lead the session. The works.

The RP is a. partially yes that RP section if you want, b. entirely with npc players (that feels so awkward to say) and the forum is just your ventbox and discussion center or existential log, and/or c. the IRC for this forum went down but the other Replay Value group with different tendencies has their own IRC that's linked around here somewhere.

Personally, I've found logs range from one-writer fic to actual organized RPs. This account was originally from the latter, but for now both SB and trepidatiousPacifist are more aligned with the former. Right now SB is on his way to meet the Denizen of Blood for the first time, which could means that by the time you're fully up and running I could send an veteran OC or two to join a budding session, if you'd like. I could also drum up a new OC, but they'd probably be either a PK or doomed from the start, I do already have nine OCs running around, technically.

My understanding is that the RP section is for non-canon stuff in terms of this forum, as is basically anything under the 'off-topic' header. The rest of the place is fair game for what counts though.

Edit: Oh! On that note, if anybody wants to try contacting me when I'm not around, I've still got pesterchum and am defaulting to trepidatiousPacifist.

Edit 2: To be clear, I was talking about the RP section under the OOC header, the RP section under Off topic sounds like a whole level of meta-narrative I am not currently up for.

Thank you so much! I just want to make sure I get it all right and shit. While I know a lot about the regular homestuck aspects and classes, I'm new to the RV Chuubos aspects. Also, thanks SB! Also, do you know where the link to that other IRC would be?
