Do Not Prototype List Does this even class as a guide or an FAQ? (answer we just dont know) So I figured this would be a very useful list, especially for new players. Besides, I've seen some people chatting about this on a few boards. (specifically one thread in the space board dont think i dont see you) Keep in mind that this is stuff you shouldn't prototype pre-entry. Everything prototyped post-entry won't affect the enemies. I mean, doesn't mean that you should prototype things willnilly, but still. Also don't leave the thing empty. That's a big no-no.
Nukes. The Art of War, by Sun Tzu. Figurine of the Hulk. Replica of the TARDIS. Romeo and Juliet Script. Pumpkins. Chess Pieces. Especially Queen Chess Pieces. Yourself. (why the fuck would you do that omg) Phoenix Related Items. Clowns. Harlequins. Jesters. Insane Clown Posse Things. SBURB Items. (machine from entry alchemizer etc) The First Guardian. (preload debug npc) Frogs. (unless you really know what your doing) Clocks. Anything by HP Lovecraft. Others. Angels. Dead Loved Ones. Overpowered Fictional Entities. SBURB CD. Imps. (all though it would be cool like impseption or something) Other Players Sprites/Kernelsprite. Squiddles. Video Games. Dr Seuss Books. Mutilated Bunny Corpse. Pride and Prejudice. Pokemon Cards. Divination Objects. Chiester Sister Doll. Anything Doctor Who. (dvds audio dramas replicas you name it)
If any of you guys threw in something crazy let me know so it can be added to the list.

You haven't actually seen that in practise have you? I'm kind of assuming that it's an educated guess, but this is SBURB so I can't be sure.

Also guns would probably be bad to prototype. Maybe weapons in general, unless you want some kind of grotesque sword-dog.

After you get into the Medium, you can prototype whatever you want with no real consequences. Also, don't throw in a phoenix doll/picture/anything. That was a pain in the ass.

How are clowns not on that list yet? Or that slippery white beastdevil?
Also, any Sburb stuff. Like, seriously, don't try to prototype a machine from your entry. I've never experienced it, but the secondhand stories I've heard, well...
Suffice to say, the last thing you want to give your Black King is gamebreaking powers to a weird level of meta-ohfuck.

Also. For obvious DO NOTS: Clowns. Harlequins. Jesters.
Just don't.

Frogs are probably a "only if you know what you're doing" thing. A warning may be warranted.
That glowing green fucker (AKA the pre-loaded debug NPC AKA The First Guardian) and clowns are basically the two biggest things that should never go anywhere near the kernal, why are they not already on the list?
Clocks can be almost as bad as clowns, since they also lead to Noirjacking.
I'll agree that weapons are generally a bad idea, but not critically so like the rest of the list. It doesn't really matter if the Black King smacks you with his sceptre or a sword, it's still gonna hurt. Probably not worth diluting the rest of the list over.
Anything by HP Lovecraft.
I've heard some folks actually have Others living on their worlds before the game starts? Needless to say, don't prototype that.
Same applies to Angels.
Dead loved ones should probably only be prototyped post-entry, for the sake of your sanity.
A generalised warning about overpowered fictional entities may save a little space.
And a note about how leaving the thing empty is not an option would likely be wise.

SBURB CD. I mean why would you even.
Question - has anyone tried prototyping an imp? They only cost 15 build grist. A player who has already entered could send the code to a pre-entry player.
FRACTAL IMP.

Cross-prototyping a sprite in a kernelsprite is not only almost impossible but best avoided, too. You don't wan't imps to have sprite powers.

Look at how wonderfully updated that list looks.
