So here's a question.
Can you alchemize the Totem Lathe, Punch Designix, and the Alchemiter together to make an all-in one machine?
...And then if you use a magnifying glass with it to make a smaller one, could you somehow end up with a handheld Alchemization Station? :I
I guess it's bugged me for a while.

I've done it a few times.
Alchemising the Alchemiter itself is really fucking expensive unless you're a Smith. And even then it still costs an arm and a leg. Instead, you can use the Jumper Block Extension and Punch Card Shunts (your Server can find them in the Phernalia Registry after enough players have entered) to add functions to your Alchemiter and modify it. Beyond deploying the required Phernalia, this process won't cost you any Grist.
As a bit of advice, adding a card punched with the code for the Jumper Block Extension allows you to eliminate the need for more than one Punch Card Shunt.
A Modus that can get the code to an item without having to Captchalogue it is pretty helpful here. Particularly if you want to integrate an Intellibeam Laserstation, since you need to use the laserstation to read the code for it, which is somewhat hard to do whilst it's in your Sylladex.

Personally, I think of handheld all-in-one Alchemy as a must-get for any run.
You can get the basic all-in-one eD describes in a few days of play or less, and then there are a number of options for miniaturization you can try based on alchemy, a helpful Space player, or cheerfully disregarding miniaturization at all because you found somebody's lost Wallet modus. I love Wallet modus. You'll also frequently see variant alchemiters and ectoslime tanks and other phernalia out in the Veil.
Combining random shit to alleviate boredom or discover more secret jetpack codes is fun. Setting up a small-scale alchemiter combo complex in a Magicant for your Rec Room is also a solid choice.
