Look, the laser thing just sort of happens. It is a class side effect. We do not deliberately set out to LASERS, they just sort of pitch up of their own accord.
Most of the work involves removing spikes/lasers from things, it seems.

I think the lasers can differ depending on the aspect. I mean, my lasers set shit on fire. That is not how lasers work.

I think the lasers can differ depending on the aspect. I mean, my lasers set shit on fire. That is not how lasers work. Highly focused/powerful lasers generally produce a large amount of heat, so I think that's basically exactly how a laser would work, if it happened to be strong enough.
That is assuming thermodynamics and shit still apply to lasers in the medium, which, considering the various lava/magma lands, like [heat], I'm doubting.

Well, so-rry I've been busy building sentry guns made out of lasers that shoot lasers that can burn through steel and have been tested against obsidian imps.

How interesting. Am I correct in interpreting this thread to mean my session's Smith of Breath's apparent inability to alchemize anything without spikes and/or lasers is more than a previously latent creative obsession of hers?

Speaking as another Smith of Breath?
Yes. Yes it is more than that.

It's like the cult of Tyler the Aerosmith is spreading or something. G'dammit.

I find that particular quirk of the smith title to be pretty useful in certain situations. For example, the Smith in my current session alchemized up a bow for me that produces an unlimited supply of super-heated laser arrows, and the bow itself doubles as a stabbing weapon.
