Once, a Witch in a session I was in prototyped a pillow (maybe it was just a cushion? anyway, you get the idea). This might seem innocuous at first, and it did to us: after all, their soft, blunt fists could barely cause us harm. However, we quickly learned the downside: the opposite was also true, and caster enemies benefited from it without drawbacks. Their soft bodies simply took next to no damage from bludgeoning attacks, and the closest thing to a sharp object we had for a specibi for was a dude with an bow-and-arrow. It got better once we all started getting abilities to just bypass their physical defenses, but until then it was a whole lot of swearing every time a dungeon had a "beat all these enemies to continue" door.

My witch in my third session prototyped her mother's collection of knives. Yeah.
