Does anyone else think that the motto of the Heir class should be "We stand alone together"? It always seemed like when the stakes were high and we needed to get through something, I ended up leading the group and taking on a lot of responsibility. I mean, it wasn't as if I discarded the rest of my players - in fact, their support was the reason that I'm able to speak with you today - but it was almost as if everyone turned to me for direction when things started to go south. It almost felt like I was somewhat separated from the group because of it. Not only that, but I found I did a lot of work keeping what remained of my group together. A lot of them wanted to scatter and do their own thing after the Mage incident.
Is that just because of the Mind Aspect or an effect of my personality, or has any other Heir experienced this as well? I'm terribly curious.

Hmm. It's a good question. My experience with Heir players is that they do tend to stand apart from the rest (In my case it was a Heir of Rage. She was kind of odd....pyromaniac, liked exploding things. Not terrifically socially aware.)
Though the technically 'leader' of the session with the Sylph of Blood due to her entering first, we did end up looking to the Heir at points for reasons. When it looked like things were falling apart everyone reacted emotionally- except this girl. The Heir took everything in stride, and I mean everything. You know how Breath players have that tendency to get rid of emotions using [Eye of the Storm]? It was like she did that automatically. She kept her cool, even if her solution to what was going on was basically "Stand on questbed, light planet on fire. Die from fire. Wake up ascended and as a bonus everything is on FIRE!"
Anyway, that's my experience, I haven't worked with a Mind player yet so I don't know if your aspect is a factor. And of course it could have been that you're just a good leader person

I've always noticed people have a tendancy to rally around Heirs. There's something about them- never been sure what- that people are drawn to. Maybe it's a natural part of inheriting.
I've noticed that Heirs who enter first get even larger Pep bounses than usual. You have not felt the need to rally around someone until you have an Heir enter first. And speaking from person experience, it competely mystifies the Heir. They have no clue why everyone suddenly wants to do everything they say.

Heirs are good team leaders, because their whole character arc is about responsibility. They get awesome and versatile power for a "soft" Class, yet they have to use it wisely.
I was a Heir of Light once, and i remember that session fondly. i got along even with a Mind Player of that session, hell we even had an Umbreakable Union happening there! You know the usual peace and love between Mind and Light, right?

Heirs, from my personal experience, take on leadership roles because they need to do so to grow. After all, aside from inheriting your legacy, you also need to inherit some of the leadership-ness that comes with assuming power.
I was an Heir of Time last session, which might've contributed to the "let's get in everyone's timey-wimey business and let's try to avoid being doomed" sort of thing. The assumption of responsibility was built in, because that's what I had to do, to keep everything stable. Of course, the actual game was not lead by me, but by our brilliant Muse of Blood (god I loved her, she was great) who knew how to set me up and exploit said-responsibility taking abilities. *shrug* It's only been one session though, so I don't know if this is a constant throughout all Sburb sessions.

With reference to what zI said, i'm currently an Heir of Mind, and I entered our session first. I can see where you're coming from with the whole leadership thing. My coplayers seem to be running everything by me before they do it, which I suppose i'm thankful for as it lets me keep track of things, but I kind of want to get things done myself sometimes. I also get the feeling that if I ignored them, they'd just lie on the floor and writhe like so many flagella. Ho hum.
Even so, it's not like i'm falling behind or anything. I just hit another rung on my echeladder, [Spelling Bee-Plus]. Seriously, what were the SBurb developers on when they came up with these rung names?
