Yet another Black King brainstorm/advice thread

Hey all. I'm going to be facing the Black King with my team pretty soon. You know the drill; I'm here to pick the fora's brain on possible strategy. Most of my team's ready, but we still haven't found the sparklefrog yet, so we're not going to initiate just yet. The reckoning hasn't started yet, so all's well so far.

Okay here's the prototypes:
Sock puppet
Roadkill (we can't tell what kind of animal it was)
A baby that had swallowed and choked on a bullet. (which made for some reeeeealy creapy imps. They spit lead machine-gun fast)
A broken grandfather clock (none of the underlings have gotten time powers, thank goodness)
A lawnmower
A dead plant
a spider
a bobcat
Someone's grandpa, who was apparently a legit Mr. Meyagi-style ninja in his youth? The imps are stealthy and pretty dangerous, but have crippling amounts of arthritis, so they're not very fast and a blow to a joint will take them down. I'm not sure how this will affect the BK, though.

Visual contact: negative
We've successfully avoided any visual contact with the King so as to not trigger the reconing, but that means we're blind at the moment. I'll be the one scoping him out, and our Muse made me a fancy transmitting camera headset. I don't pan on doing the scout mission until the day-of, so I probably won't post the results here unless something weird happens.

BQ status: the Derse dreamers say BQ's still on Derse, throne intact.
White artifacts: Both still held by their owners, though WK's loosing ground and the line could break any day now.


The team:
We've got a vet in first position, and he's been a great leader this whole time. I'm probably the second-most senior. Everyone else is on their 2nd-4th round, and so far seem competent enough by now. I trust them enough for the fight, at least.

No cataclysm classes. (We didn't need to deal with a cataclysm, but now we lack the power boost they can provide, so that'll make this fight harder)

My role:

Healer: Dame of Life (HALELEUJA)
Secondary healers: Muse of Mist, Heir of Blood
All three are pretty competent.

DPS:
Heir of Blood (Guy's only on his second session but MAN he's good at this game)
Bane of Mind. 2nd-timer, good with animals. Has been hell-on-wheels versus any uninteligent boss, but he's unsure if he'll be quite so effective vs the King.

Backup:
I'm pretty good at pulling people's asses out of the fire. Though, in typical dream fashion, that might become "overplayed" at any moment.
Prince of Flow

Misc support:
Prince of Flow (who doesn't have quite enough ladpluck to stack multiple [Pyrocumulus] for DPS, so he's on support)
Maid of Light (She's got good buffs)

The Weak Link:
We've got a happy-go-lucky kid (2nd timer) who rolled Rouge of Doom and has been having trouble with his role, along with the general emotional plunge of everyone's second sesson. Word is he's brave enough and uses common sense, though, so he shouldn't be too much of a liability.

Ok. Why you don't use the ridiculous tactical advantage of having a Seer of Space in your group? I am aware that spider prototyping carries Law charge strong enough for a King to be hard to scry with Space alone, but damn if Seers of Space aren't the best at using the terrain to your advantage.

Tell her to scry the exact place where the battle will commence (ability [Pond Auspicus] is your friend). Consult with her on plans making. Let her do the [Frogjump Network] around the place, so your suprise factor would rise. Also [Murky Space] can trap enemies, and if she is on top of her Ladder she will have enough Pluck to do this to Black King at least few times in fight. Remember: Tactician Class. If you give her a place to shine she will get so many bonuses for playing her Role. So: support. Just like us Seers like it.

Rogue should team up with Seer and use [Frogjumps] to sneak attacks. he can avert meteor course with [Post Apocalyptic Partytown] and if he is sneaky with it, he will get bonuses. Let them plan their joint attack. Let your Rogue Displace Doom on your benefit.

Muse... Hmmmm [Smoke and Mirrors] on Dame Life Powers and Heir not-dying powers. Muses are sort of fragile in close combat so let her be support. Alas I am not Mist expert so let us wait for others to say their opinions.

First things first, you mis-spelled "rogue" as "rouge" and rogues hate that.

The Muse is a heavily support-oriented class. Sadly you don't have elements with ridiculously sweet buffs like Hope but like the boss suggested you have Light and Blood.

Copying pulse-related abilities and passing them on to someone will give you two unstoppable tanks at the price of one. I suggest the Bane if you really intend to use him for tanking, but I really think you should reconsider. Mind doesn't have that much of a defense. Otherwise, as a Prince of Flow you could probably be a good idea.

As per light... Well, there is a wealth of sweet support light abilities that you can duplicate, in case they stack. Your Muse could be that.

I also suggest to have her copy speed-related Light abilities so she can dart in to pull people out of sticky situations. Remember, Mist players have excellent defense on their own. They can easily take a hit in place of someone else and reverberate to safety as long as they have pluck.

Dang it! You're right, I hate it too. I did some tests, apparently I have a very specific strain of the Quirk. Bluh.

Scry the king - D'oh! I've never been any good at scrying, so I never really considered it in my tactics. (This session I can scry almost anywhere Prospit with no difficultly, but haven't had any luck elsewhere). I figure someone else should have thought of that already, but I'll let him know. (Our seer's a 'he', but it was a reasonable assumption)

DPS - that's definitely where we're weakest. The Heir's got some mad damage output, but everyone else is just sorta okay.
Bane of Mind is actually pretty durable - good defense and good dodge via mind juju. Again, though, he's had little luck using the mind juju vs sentient opponents (i.e. practice sparring vs me) BUT I just realized this may be a roleplay issue, not an aspect problem. I was Testing him (appropriate for scouts), but a practice bout against me wasn't directly relevant to any of his Bane goals. Soooo.... maybe he'll be fine?
The Prince of Flow - I meant to say this earlier, but he unfortunately doesn't have enough Pluck to stack several [Pyrocumulus], otherwise he would save himself for a finishing damage burst.
(BTW, sorry if I wasn't clear - I'm still a Scout of Dreams - the Prince of Flow was the other guy on support)

Oh, I don't know any of his specific stats, and I know noone will be able to give any more than a super rough ballpark estimate, but at what % HP of an 8x prototyped BK should a Prince of Flow cast his one shot of [Pyrocumulus] to deal the finishing blow? He's top of his echeladder, but not God Tier. As it stands, he plans on going into full-out support to buff everyone else into a climatic finish, with [Double Pedal Drum Machine] tripple-casting [One More Time], and of course using [Broken Record] on [And It Don't Stop] to constantly reset ability cooldowns. Is that too "Passive" for a Prince? I mean, it would probably tripple the party's damage output while he keeps it up, so it's at least "climatic". What if he puts on sunglasses and says to himself "Lets Finish This" before letting loose the buffs? Okay I'll stop being goofy.

Alternatively - anyone know of any item to give a major Pluck boost, even if for a very short time period?


Tanking:
I think it's smart to retrofit the Muse into a tank. As it stands, only the Heir can really tank. Fortunately he probably shouldn't have to play healer, between our Dame and Muse. I and the Space player can move the wounded out of danger if necessary. Between reverbrata and Mist's general "extra substance," like you said, they tend to be pretty tough as-is.

GA - All your Space and Doom suggestions are great. I'll pass them on to our [Passive Version Of Thief]. The Frogjump/Doomy Sneak Attack sounds perfect - neither player had much to contribute on their own mid-combat, but that sounds amazing. [Passive Thieves] do better when they can set others up as well, so I wonder if he can use the stun from a sneak-attack [Shatterface] to chain into [Cathedral of the End], then let the Prince drop the buff bomb?
