Alright so hi. I'm siderealDomestic, I'm new around here.
This is my third session, but I've never really felt the need to post here before. My first two sessions were pretty smooth ordeals. No deaths (no permanent ones anyway) and everyone pretty much got along. I used the resources here to help me find my way through a few tough glitches (I nearly died the first time I saw an OhGodWhat) but now I really need help.
My session's Heir of Time is suffering from White Queen Induced Questant's Lament. He Ascended somehow and has already killed three players, including our session leader. There are only four of us left, including myself - we have a Smith of Mind, a Dame of Sand, and a Bard of Space. None of us have ascended and we're not sure we can fight the Heir. We know we'll have to but...
Any advice you all could give would be greatly appreciated. Please, we're running out of time.

Mind seems like it would be a good counter to Time, since Mind is all about foreseeing the consequences of actions. I'm not sure if Smith is a great role for this but I would advise your Mind player to constantly scrutinize the possible outcomes of your choices, since you could be attacked or run into one of your Heir's traps at literally any moment.

Mind is also good for mental things, strangely enough. Get the Sand player to dissolve the Time player's psybuffs can trigger a sort of meltdown, which might be good to get incapacitate him. Be ready with a boot to the head when he starts to BT. Then tie him up and give him to the Mind player, who can pick his brain and get him better.

Thank you both so much for your replies. I might not have shown it but I was sort of freaking out there and my coplayers weren't in any mood to calm me down. Knowing you all were out there and willing to offer advice did a lot.
With our session leader dead our Smith of Mind took leadership role. We hid out on his land for a day or two and regrouped, that was when I made this thread.
Eventually our Smith made us chain him up and then activated Endless Climb. He ranted and raved for a while but when he came back to reality we had a pretty decent plan. You guys helped a lot too.
Anyway we managed to tracked the heir to his land, where our Dame of Sand managed to get through his psybuffs. Once we did that me and the Bard of Space led the Heir into an atomik ebonpyre he wasn't expecting. Then we kept him pinned there, letting the underlings whittle down his health while our Bard teleported us out if we got too injured. Eventually our Dame did...something, I have no idea what, but it pretty much obliterated the ebonpyre and allowed our Bard to finish the Heir with Off With His Head.
We're pretty sure there are still a few past versions of the Heir running around somewhere but they may be pre-QL? We're taking a break in the Skaian Magicant currently, soon we'll have to regroup and start locating those pendants.
Again, thanks for the help. It's really appreciated.

Ouch
Is it ok if I ask what might have happened that drove your Time player over the edge (We're somewhat worried about ours)?

Well as I said this is just my third session so I don't have much experience with this. But if you're worried about your time player, I'd think about creating some kind of password system with him/her to make sure you can keep tabs on your "current" Time Player's self. We thought ours was dungeon diving until our session leader destroyed half his land with [Chaos Dunk]and even then it took us a few days to realize it was the Time Player. His past selves were all over the place making things difficult for us.
As to what drove ours over the edge...I'm not sure, I think he had had a few problems in earlier sessions? We had one of his old coplayers with us, she was supposed to keep an eye on him, and she did mention he was spending a lot of time on Prospit but everyone was too wrapped up in their own shit to care...if you're worried about your Time player just check on them often I guess I know the advice is generic but that's all I have to give.
