All you nee0 to know at this time is that through some severe fuckups, my sprite entere0 the game prototyped with both a cruxite dowel an0 this fuckass who lives...live0 next0oor. When the un0erlings started listening to him and he learnt the cruxite gave him some reality warping powers...Well, it's 0eity syn0rome an0 a half. He 0isappeare0 about the time I got through the first gate about four months ago, but from what I've seen in that time he's been turning my 0enizen's castle into a fortress the size of lon0on town. I was planning on roun0ing up the rest of my party an0 mounting a siege (There are eight of us still alive) but when I returne0 to my house to0ay to tour the lan0s...Well, the fucking portals are gone.

That's not even the fucking en0 of it. He's left our hope player's hoo0y fol0e0 on my be0. There are bloo0stains on it. I trie0 getting into chat with everyone but its telling me no connection. No bloo0y connection in the me0ium, if you can even believe it. This forum still connecte0 for some reason, so if there's any a0vice you can give me, I woul0 really, really appreciate it. I'm only a Bane of Heart, how the hell am I suppose0 to storm a fucking fortress? Please, I 0on't know what to 0o.

13ane of Heart sounds like pretty good class for storming a fortress. They're kind of nebulously defined 13ut in general the Champion classes can give you anywhere from decent to great RP coefficient 13oosts for getting in touch with your aspect and working together with your friends. Come to think of it 13ane of Heart should theoretically 13e pretty 13roken for a passive class since it combines a very abstract 12ole with one of the most powerful support abilities in the game. So 12eally you should 13e fine, or at least survive.

If that doesn't work you can try alchemizing your pendant with something (assuming your sprite wasn't too shithive maggots to give you one), it'll probably glitch out and kill your sprite, hopefully without killing you too.

Are you sure about that? After all, the Bane is all about avenging the 0ea0 or protecting someone, right? So now that the person I'm fighting for is still alive an0 everyone else is beyon0 my reach I'm really not feeling that Bane-y =[

Unfortunately I never got a pen0ant, but I've kin0a 0ealt without one without too much trouble. coul0 I just alchemize one or something, or is it a 0eployable? Actually, the missing player was my server player so scratch that one. Also, is there any way into the 0enizen's fortress apart from the final portal an0 the front gate?

Where in paradox space did you get the idea that Banes were restricted to avenging the dead? Maybe if they were a Doom or Time Aspect they could do that on the side, but it's certainly not a core part of the title.

And protecting someone is a Guard thing, not a Bane thing (though we frequently end up doing it anyway).

Banes are Passive Champions. They fight for a purpose or ideal, with a minor sideline in dealing with PKs, and they must do so in a way that focuses on other people rather than their own feelings and intentions. Beyond that, you're free to play Bane however you wish so long as those two criteria are met - avenging the dead has nothing to do with it (though it can function as a perfectly valid way to play for Doom aspects).

Pick an ideal or purpose that's either someone else's or focuses primarily on other people, preferably one that also relates to your Aspect, and then go act on it just as hard as you can.
