Hello! I am looking to start an RP, and it appears that there is little available (Would rather not mess with that dnd rolls thing), and want to know who would be interested.
I plan on having fun and stuff.
This is my first S***b session, but I am not unfimiliar to either roleplaying or writing, so I should do well.
As for characters, anybody is welcome as long as they provide name and strife specibus/specubi kinds they have, as well as title and espect. It is okay if your character does not remember his or her name.
This is my first session but my character's second to start.
My character's thing foor entry: Jason Markson, graveMusic. Strife specubi: YOYOKIND. Waste of Flow.
I wish to get a great session and have fun! :D

I'd be interested in joining. I'll provide my full CS, seeing as I have it already. Name: Mike Fletcher Age: 16 Gender: Male chumHandle: adamantineTegmentality Typing style: Your verbal communication is characterized by an insistance on using the full breadth of your vocabulary, in order to convey your views in what you view as the most eloquent manner, and what others may condemn as needlessly incomprehensible. You also enjoy extending metaphors to breaking point, for which the typical results are confusion and misunderstanding. In addition, your typing methodology varies with the current subject of your communication, gradually developing a greater similarity to that of the other person as the conversation progresses. When expressing emotion, your repertoire of phrases can be relatively limited. General interests: Mike has a few main interests, foremost of which is reading. Most books are of interest to him, and he reads through them very quickly. He enjoys everything from fiction and fanfiction, through comics and manga, to non-fiction such as scientific manuals and textbooks. Although he can easily remember what he's read, he is awful at remembering where from. In addition to this, Mike finds the natural world and phenomena fascinating. Although this is limited by him living in the centre of a city, he still enjoys looking around the greenhouse on the roof of the apartment block and trying to stargaze through the light pollution that abounds. Finally, Mike likes to play all sorts of games online with his friends. He isn't very selective with what he plays, and is universally bad at them, but he enjoys it regardless. Personality: Mike initially appears to simply be a very cheerful, upbeat person. However, it gradually becomes apparent that he is never subject to unpleasant emotions like being upset or angry - the lowest he gets is without emotion. The reason is that Mike seems to have great emotional control, specifically in that he can simply ignore any feelings he doesn't want, which for him are the ones he doesn't enjoy. He is therefore almost constantly in a state of optimistic good cheer, as that's what he likes best. Mike also has a self-centred, contradictory set of standards: He will try and excuse anyone else's mistakes as a product of the situation and other factors they aren't responsible for, assuming altruistic aims, so it takes great selfishness or malice for him to condemn a choice as wrong. However, he is the opposite for himself, examining his mistakes for where he went wrong and explaining his kindness as only natural, or for reasons benefitting him, ignoring any mitigating factors that could apply to him. He's good at understanding other's points of view, but not their emotions. He'd like to be better at this, but he's found that the more he learns about people, the more their flaws become apparent, and the further above them he considers himself. Mike finds it very satisfying to watch these flaws come to light, and the people realise it themselves, although he knows it's wrong to do so. The root of his altruism and drive to improve himself is that he considers himself superior to all others, and seeks to maintain this state by becoming better faster than anyone else, yet feels that he must make use of that superiority to help others for fear of being abandonned for serving no purpose to his friends, based on the assumption that everyone else is similar in their thinking to him. Although he might be able to cut off the sadness of lonliness, there would still be less happiness to fill the void. In fact, all his kindness and interest in others is at some level based on his own self-interest and self-confidence. He is aware of this, on a deep level, but he is remarkably good at ignoring it. Sage of Void: Mike's role is to scrutinise emptiness, seeking knowledge about or through nothingness, in order to better paln ahead. The powers of his role are pretty minor, manifesting in an ability to ignore or delete small parts of the code of the game, and having an affinity for locating and navigating within the Skaian Magicant. Land of Bamboo and Stars: Mike's land is a rugged landscape of mountains and rivers, covered in deep forests of bamboo, under a star-filled perpetual night sky. It is occupied by purple axolotls, although they are rarely seen out of the waters. Strife specibus: Bodykind specibus - this unarmed strife specibus is focused on fighting with the entire body, and the bodies of others as well. It is well-suited to performing throws and pins. Periodic Modus: The cards are arranged in periods and groups, and items captchalogued go to a card based on mass and their properties. To retrieve an item, a chemically feasible compound must be formed. For example, if a pen occupied the first (hydrogen) card and the item to be retrieved was in the ninth (fluorine), then they would have to be retrieved as a pair. For this reason, the Noble Gas cards are most convenient as no other cards are needed. However, as he has nine cards at the moment, only one has this property. The speed of ejection is based on how energetic the formation of that compound is. Kernelsprite: Manga encyclopedia and Protoman toy, both post-entry. Protomangasprite isn't very helpful, as all he does is float on rooftops or dramatic overhangs and whistle mournfully. If confronted, he'll attack with a shield bash, shouting the names of his attacks as he does so, then teleport away, leaving behind his shield if beaten, of which he seems to have an infinite number of available. Denizen: Nyx Dream: Derse - each night, Mike's dream self sleepwalks down to the library of Derse to read the tomes of dubious provenance contained there. He never remembers much of what he has read the night before upon awakening, though, and assumes it was from a book he read consciously.

Nice to have you aboard!
Yu sound interesting, and I should probably elaborate on my character too.
Jason lives in a city and doesn't like outside that well without anything to do, so he mostly stays inside. He talks in a way that only capitalizes the first letter of every sentence. He has interests in video games but does not play well in groups, but prefers to for back up. He has interests in cult clasics that are undeniably AWESOME. He collects a variety of different toys.
His sprite was double prototyped pre-game entry with a gameboy and a chunk of a meteor that fell in his yard during armageddon. The meteor chunk was a copy made in the alchemiter.
His modus is a File Modus: items are kept in various files to be chosen based on what I want and sorted by similarity, but only as organized as the user which addas a layer of difficulty to getting things becauss Jason is barely organized.
He is good at photographing and plays drums, while his mother played piano.
His plan sould rather be stab it until it is fixed, but would rather dp the moral choice. Also lacks empathy so he doesm't really care.
Loves beating up the imps since they annoy him that much, and echtoladder isn't going to ascend itself!
Loves needlessly complex things becaise he adapts to them faster somehow.
Hates fire ever since his first land being the land of woods and fire (it wasn't that the woods are on fire, it's that the trees grow leaves made of fire).
New land is the Land of Crystals and Rain. There is large crystal "forests" and plenty of rain clouds everywhere, and is naturally at early morning "sun isn't even up yet but there is light" mode to show off the crystal's natural illumination.
Once again, YOYOKIND specibus, allowing him to use stringed sperical objects as long as the object comes back after being thrown out. Combines piano wire with it to make a Razor Wire Yoyo.

Alright! This may be happening! Also a change to my character, since I thought tjis would never happen I "started" the sesson in terms of poating IC and ended up thinging. His new land will be Land of Cupckes and Discord (everything is crazy, but covered in cupcakes as well!) He will eventally be Knight of Stars. Once Prardox joins/gets his sheet on here we can begin! Awesome! I also need to know if my character's [Ultimate Chimera]'d on Carapace arm will remain and/or his black see enemies through walls eyes (character in "session" put chemicals from Skaia.net labs in my character's eyes because of reasons a non-rain player can not fully comprehend).

Okay, I just want to make sure it's okay to use my troll character. If so, would he keep his Moogle prototyping? (His dream self was prototyped with a Moogle doll, kinda like Jadesprite but less badass.)

New session, new dreamself. Your dreamself would be a normal dreamself unless you did this sprite messery through time shenanigans.
Also trolls are allowed. It would be bad to not allow diversity in the session!
And your troll would probably think my character is a troll at first. (My character is from a wildly different offshoot of earth where everybody's skin is grey and has reddish orange blood, plus he has hand crafted troll horns from a troll in the previous "session" being annoyed by my character's lack of horns when he looks kind of like a troll, said giving of hodns was detailed in my Logs thread "Do you even gift?" and his differing body in the not made by me "So... Aliens")

I'd like to join up for this, but I'll either A) have to use a different character or B) make this somewhat "non-canon" for Ness, because in his second session (currently happening in the "Dissension: Plan B: The Plague of War" RP) he may or may not end up with a very permanent change, and besides he's a rather... unusual character and I pretty much just have to clear his abilities and general design with everyone before using him. Because I don't feel like re-typing stuff about it, a general functioning explanation of how this stuff works can be found within this post. If this is cool with everyone, then I can use him. Note- it's also just a thing that is true, largely as a result of his abilities, that any session he's in will hit the fan in a spectacular and dangerous way. Of course, that was likely to happen anyways. If having those abilities and mythos is okay with everyone, I'll put up the whole description for him (and we'll just assume he didn't change in the second session?).

The more the merrier!
Until we start glitching.
Then it is even more Fun*!
But you figure out your plans, we can use the "non-canon or not really changed" version of you if you want, but not really changed is kind of cheesing it, we all have to lose ourselvss a bit somewhere, that's just the problem with Sburb replaying... so lets say a big thing fell on your head and you "forgot" everything up until your current point and slowly "regain" memories as we go along... or go with the non-canon, your choice.
And I know of your unusual powers. I read the post about your card game being haaaaated by Sburb when you prototyped your mons.
*Fun is a not so registered trademark of Dwarf Fortress's community. Losing is Fun! And losing on DF usuallly involves lava, unleashing the Secret Fun Stuff, or everybody going nuts and killing each other.

The idea of the "changed" thing is the "spirit revival" I mentioned- I suppose we could make it a once-per-session thing that resets with everything else. That takes a bit from the impact of the permanent change, though. I realize that being vague and then linking to something specific was a stupid plan. Either way works. It is true that emotional maturity resets anyways, so there's that.
EDIT: Also haha DF is great.

We could do that, and it would make as much sense narative-wise as Sburb usually is.
Good idea!
And I don't know how to do anything on Fortress mode on DF. I played adventure mode... and I had no clue how to fast travel...
I got as little done as that sounds.
